My first red roof experience We were traveling 95S and hadn’t booked a place to stay as we didn’t know how far we’d get in our travels. My go-to hotels were fully booked. I called several for over a hundred miles and lucked out. I checked other places based on reviews. We were exhausted and ended up here. The front desk folks were super nice but the experience itself was not great. You get what you pay for. It was 2AM and other guests were awake and roaming around. A woman smoking a joint INSIDE the building ever so politely held the door open for me and the kids. When we got to the room, it was dark and the TV was on. There is a wall so you couldn’t see the bed. I said a loud “hello” to make sure someone wasn’t in there! Thankfully, there wasn’t. Weird! The room itself smelt like someone before us was also smoking pot (not that I care if you smoke but it’s not ideal for a family when all you want to do it sleep). The bathroom was worn down, the sink was painted and peeling, the towel rack was hanging. The room itself gets 2 stars. We got our needed sleep and were gone with 7 hours.

Comfortable clean quiet room - a good bargain! I really appreciated staying at the RED ROOF INN in Newark, DE. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. I felt the room was quiet, which is important to me. Good shower with plenty of hot water. I was visiting my son at the University of Delaware which is close by. I felt this room was a good bargain. I appreciate the savings as compared to some of the other hotels in town.

Misleading Photos The most grateful thing I can say about this Red Roof is we were there only one night. The photos on the website were very misleading. The hotel room was very beat up and the bathroom was very old. Parts of spackle were all over the sink and the toilet seat was so worn down there was black spots on it. The smell in the hallway smelled like a combo between cigarette smoke and urine. I do not recommend this hotel, even at the lower rate.

Terrible hotel This hotel is a joke to be honest the places has ROACHES!! the bathroom is nasty has mold growing multiple places on top of it the walls look like someone threw toilet paper to the ceiling and just left it there to dry and flake away the beds are hard pillows are ok but the service is terrible they treat you like your a peasant talk to you like a child and they have a rule no smoking in the room but don’t want you to smoke on patio and want you to walk 20ft away from the building to do so! The whole experience was really crazy to me and will never go here again!!! Needs new management new employees and DEFINITELY A REMOLDING!

RRI - Newar, DE - A Nice Place To Stay The staff make this hotel memorable. They are courteous, friendly and go out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The room is always clean and the cleaning team is very focused on keeping the common areas clean. Of course there's always room for improvement. However, the Red Roof Inn Team at Newark, DE continues to make the push with great effect.
