Great visit in Norfolk, VA Nice property. The shuttle driver that picked us up on Thursday 05/16 @midnight was extremely nice, super knowledgeable and an amazing personality. He gave us advices on what to do while we were in Norfolk and good recommendations on places to visit. On the other hand the gentleman that picked us up on Saturday 05/17 @12:50pm was EXTREMELY rude, we said hi to him multiple times and then tried to make conversation and he straight up told us to shut up. It was extremely disappointing and I had to let you guys know, JUST REMOVE BAD APPLES FROM YOUR TREE. Not going to take stars away just because of a bad employee, I’m sure you’ll on this immediately.

Couples trip Property is very clean and neat. Very easy access to all Norfolk activities. Room was very clean and in good repair. Plenty of on site parking available. Restaurant in building. Staff were courteous, friendly and effective. Would definitely stay here again.

Great front desk service. The guy at the front desk was fantastic! He was helpful, friendly and had the best attitude of anyone I’ve dealt with at a hotel desk. We only stayed there overnight before catching a flight but our experience at this hotel was actually better than our destination hotel that cost 4 times as much! And here, we got a free hot cookie and coffee, as opposed to our destination hotel where they wanted $6 for a cookie.

Below average experience for this HH Silver member Hotel was disappointing in several respects. The front desk clerk was not cheerful. Digital key system wasn’t working (this also occurred at my recent Hampton stays). The elevator was filthy, carpet dirty. The lobby was extremely noisy with lots of unruly kids running around. The room only added to the disappointment. The bedside table was scratched, chipped and torn. The phone was unplugged. There was no microwave in the room, unlike the Doubletree in Charlottesville where we had just checked out of. When I called the front desk to request a microwave, I was told it was only available for extended stay guests. I told him I was booked for three nights and am a Silver honors member, but to no avail. It’s hard to be loyal to Hilton when you stay at one of their “better” brands and get this substandard experience. This hotel is tired, outdated, and needs a makeover.

The Night of our lives! We were there to attend a function held at the Doubletree Norfolk Airport hotel and they have the greatest banquet staff! Our function went off without a hitch. From the General Manager, Executive Assistant, Sales and Banquet staff, the service and hospitality was incomparable!
