For travelers, older accommodation but clean , not handicapped friendly I was attempting to find a motel close to my nephew’s home in Attleboro MA. I located Knights Inn. I made reservations through Priceline.com. Also, upon doing a search for motels in the area I found they were all booked. The motel is obviously older business. Upon looking around it had a fresh coat of paint on the outside. The manager was very businesslike. Upon registering he informed me that my reservation was for a queen bed room but he was upgrading me to a king bed. All entrances are from the outside. I climbed the stairs and used to issued card to enter the room. Pros: The room is clean, it had a fresh coat of paint, TV, microwave, small fridge, bath room, plenty of towels and wash cloths, freshly painted, clean. King bed comfortable, the comfortable pillows, new carpet, air conditioner worked well, coffee and muffin in the morning in office. Cons: outside, noise could be a problem. In the room, not handicapped equipped, no elevator, TV has only local stations, no premium, no coffee or tea in room, overhead bright light, dim light on wall over the bed. No breakfast, Finally, my opinion, I was looking for a clean overnight accommodation so this worked for me. The motel is aging, not family oriented, For my purpose it served my purpose. It certainly isn’t upscale.

False Advertising / 'Cheap, Run Down' / Don't stay here! My gfriend and I decided rather last minute to stay an extra day in Providence and needed an inexpensive place just to spend the night. As it turns out, even motels now are relatively expensive! (Haven't stayed in a motel in years) Anyway, this was one of the cheaper options in the area, at $180 (including fees + taxes). The photos of the rooms & the "full breakfast buffet" the motel posted recently and generally readily accessible online look alright--decent layout, cleanliness, light, amenities, etc. I'm here to tell you that this motel is a lying sack of refuse. The place wasn't 'disastrous'... But basically every element was significantly worse than advertised, on the level of the 'cheap, rundown' motel stereotype To wit {and see photos}: • Our non-smoking room smelled vaguely like smoke masked with Lysol air freshener • The room was small (significantly smaller than pictured online), beat-up and rundown. The walls were painted a weird ugly blue instead of white/cream, were chipped and scratched. The bedside table had a big burn mark on it. The sparse furniture was chipped, falling apart. The carpet was old, vaguely smelly, and stained. The bathroom curtain was irreparably stained • Only stark white fluorescent lights • The Wifi password was scribbled illegibly & we couldn't get it to work • The keycard stopped working after the first swipe • The air conditioner was janky & held together with packing tape. It was so loud and clunky on every setting that, even tho doing so rendered the room hot (and it was a hot night), we had to turn it off before going to sleep • The "full breakfast buffet" advertised was actually just coffee, sugary orange juice, and packaged 'Bimbo' junk food mini-muffins • Thinking we might've gotten a dud, we asked the desk person if there was another non-smoking room available. He directed me to check one out, and it was pretty much the same, cigarette smell and all! I'd say the few positives were: • The bedding and towels were basically clean • They did leave the basic toiletries • There weren't any noticeable bugs (at least in this particular room) • There were a small number of sketchy characters on the premises--perhaps some drug users, maybe even sex workers (tho how do they afford $180+ a night to stay there?)--but being on the second floor, the noise level was quiet enough with the window closed & no one bothered us • The person at the front desk was not not nice I mean, I've stayed in a small number of seedy motels in my day, several more run down than this--but that was on a cross country road-trip in the middle of the night & for like pennies, as motels used to be. . . Realize prices have gone mad post-pandemic. But, still, there's a limit. . . This one would be 'alright' and 'understandable' if it were, like, $90. But not only is it $180--what a decent hotel used to cost--but they're also deceiving guests about the quality and amenities Stay away, friends!

You get what you pay for Booked a non-smoking room and clearly the ashtray and stale smoke smell in the room indicated otherwise. They take a $30 incidental fee in case anything is broken/missing or you get evicted by police. Yes, there is a sign at the desk that says this! I stayed overnight and did not take a shower because the shower head looked gross. Also, the air conditioner looked like it hadn't been cleaned in...I don't know how long. I will definitely not use this chain again.

STAY AWAY DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY accused me of smoking in the room and took my deposit. They refuse to give it back even though I did nothing wrong. Total jip of a hotel that will take your money. DO NOT GO TO THIS RIP OFF. It is also in the middle of nowhere and do not have conditioner, toothpaste, or anything you will need.
