VERONICA WENT OVER AND BEYOND I checked in home2 suites a few days before my flight. Since checking Veronica went over and beyond to ensure I had a seamless relaxing stay. Veronica made her self valuable to all my questions and went out of her way to make sure my stay was nothing short of excellent. This property offers spacious rooms comfortable beds breakfast a snack shop and plenty of places to lounge . I would definitely recommend anyone in the area to stay in this property

Very nice Hotel The room was very nice and fully appointed with full fridge, dishwasher and small cooktop. Nice bathroom too. Very spacious sitting area and nice king bed complete the room. I enjoyed my time here and especially enjoyed the breakfast which offered great sausage egg and cheese sandwiches with great fruit and coffee.

Dirty rooms, indifferent staff, not worth it, go elsewhere. Context: former travel agent, traveling with my spouse, we are both frequent travelers, this trip was without our kids for some fun in Charleston. I am sitting in our room on the last night of our trip. It's 11:15pm, there is a dog barking down the hall that won't stop. The room was dirty when we checked in, I blew it off, knowing that people are stretched thin, figuring it's not a big deal, and housekeeping will be coming soon to wipe it down, right? Nope. They've texted me numerous times to ask how our stay is, I've told them (three times now) that in 4 nights, housekeeping hasn't come once - not one time - and they don't care. They text an apology, and basically shrug with an oh well, and an offer of clean towels, that's it. Today there was a cat lost in the hotel, and I watched one of the staff roll her eyes at the lady who was upset and looking for her cat. The Chargers in the lobby on the side of the couch are broken, the plate is dangling off. The tables and seats are sticky. I asked for more coffee, they said I would have to go down and get it myself. My husband ended up going down the next morning, because we can't possibly ask for help or service that we're paying for. The breakfast is terrible, it reminds me of school cafeteria food in the 90s when you weren't quite sure if it was safe. We got groceries, which is lovely given than no one empties the trash in the room because we have had zero housekeeping in 4 days, so it just piles up. The trash cans - tiny and designed to be emptied daily - are overflowing because there is not a staff member here who actually cares about the people staying here. There are actually two Home2 Suites properties in North Charleston, we accidentally navigated to the wrong one and walked in and I knew instantly it was off because the lobby was clean and the front desk person was kind and warm. The difference was shocking. I've worked in the industry in lots of different roles and have watched this go downhill, and this is one of the worst stays we've had in a long time. This stay was almost $200/night, and beyond disappointing. I've stayed in $69/night Super 8 motels that far surpassed the cleanliness and level of service that we've had here.

Clean, good value, exceeded expectations We were attending our grandson’s hockey tournament at the Ice Palace over the holiday weekend. This hotel was a short ride to the arena. The entire staff, from kitchen crew Karla and Victoria, to manager Tom Brinkerhof, made our stay so much more enjoyable than we expected! Each time we ran into the housekeeping staff, they shared smiles and a cheerful greeting, and the front desk staff, both evening and daytime, were courteous, helpful, and efficient. Especially fun was listening to the kitchen crew chanting in the back, loud enough for us to hear, when the breakfast shift was almost over. They set a positive mood, allowed us to enjoy a relaxing, non-rushed breakfast even though we came late, and they surely had hoped to begin cleanup. Manager Tom Brinkerhof chatted us up, asking how everything was and hoping we were enjoying our stay. By the time we were ready to leave, we shared some laughs and even got the name of a movie we look forward to watching! We will surely be back!

Wheelchair access The wheelchair accessible room with a roll-in shower is accessible. Near the lobby on the first floor. The room door is easy to open for entry and exit. The bed height is perfect for transferring from a wheelchair. The roll-in shower is pretty good. It has a built in bench that is L shaped. The soap/shampoo dispensers are mounted in an awkward location, bring your own.
