Fantastic, friendly staff This hotel has the most friendly hotel staff I have ever met. Checking in was a breeze with Taffany who answered my questions about restaurants knowledgeably. The manager Lori was working both the front desk and helping with breakfast the following morning and was again amazingly friendly. I chose this hotel because of their outdoor pool and being close to the Perryville Casino. The pool was clean and not crowded and the guest rooms had plenty of space and comfortable furniture. This is a tiny little town but the hotel was very well cared for and the staff made me feel very welcome. I will certainly return. Holiday Inn can be proud of how this property is run!

One Night Stay We stayed overnight on a Saturday in a King Suite Room. It was clean, spacious and comfortable, just right for one night. The hotel is next to a busy road, so road noise is inevitable, but turning the fan to "on" blocked out much of the noise, as well as voices from other rooms and the hallway. We were on the top/fourth floor, so no noise above us. Desk phone in room was not working. Breakfast was included, and was decent: yogurt, cereals, oatmeal. Scrambled eggs and premade omelet, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Muffins, toast, coffee, tea, juice. Outdoor pool was still closed. The elevator was not working in the morning, which made going up and down to the fourth floor a challenge - reported it upon checkout. Desk staff were very kind and personable.

Substandard Experience First of all, let me say that I am a frequent traveler and I stay at many hotels from one spectrum to the other so I am familiar with what you get at a hotel vs/price. This Holiday Inn was unusually sub-standard from the moment I was greated by the front desk staff to the moment I checked out. I was an evening walk in, and the price I was quoted for a standard room was $316 which i thought was almost double what a Holiday Inn should be. The clerk refused to accept my AAA card and refused to give me points toward my IHG Reward Membership. Her comment was simply, "You want the room or not". I guess she was just lazy and didn't want to do any extra work. She certainly wasn't over-worked because the parking lot was half empty. Going to the room, the elevator smelled like chain lube oil, a grease used to lube the cables. The hallway walls were very dirty, dimly lit and when I opened to door to the room, I was hit with a dirty dog odor coming from the filthy carpets. There was no doubt about a dog being in the room because as I was working at the desk, my ankles were being bitten by fleas continuously. I walked once from the desk to the bathroom wearing white socks and they were black on the bottoms from the dirty carpets, requiring me to wear my shoes. Old, seedy, worn out and dirty is the only way I can describe this hotel. Very surprised for a Holiday Inn and I will make a point never to stay here again.

Ehhh Typical holiday inn. It looks nice on the outside and well kept when you enter. Staff was friendly and helpful, thankfully. I had to have my key recoded 3 times. Other visitors as well. The door to the room is broke. When you push the handle it barley turn the mechanism so you can open it. The rooms are just ok but old. My fire detector is hanging from its wires. There’s water on the floor in back of the toilet. Not sure if coming from our or my neighbors. You get what you pay for here!

Excellent Hotel Had a family event and was glad we picked this hotel. Overall, excellent facility - clean, quite, and with an attentive staff. Jay Desai, the hotel's General Manager, was a wonderful problem solver and great to work with. The hot breakfast exceeded expectations each day with items such as bacon and eggs and fresh cooked pancakes. My only concerns have nothing to do with this location but IHG's corporate policies in outsourcing the reservation system (most relatives could not understand the online agent or the agent did not understand what needed to be done) and the policy of charging extra for early check in.
