Can’t wait to leave This was the worse. We’re supposed to have had adjoining rooms, they weren’t even side by side. Requested A tower got B. Spoke with 3 different employees, were told that’s what we got. I will NEVER stay here again. Even after telling the supervisor I was going to leave a bad review, she didn’t care. Never offered any solutions. DO BETTER BEACH COVE.

Deeply Disappointed I read a ton of reviews and really did my research on where to stay in Myrtle Beach for our family vacation in April and settled on Beach Cove Resort due to reviews, location, the amenities and the ability to select our own unit (for a bit more money). I wanted to love this property but boy were we disappointed. Ultimately, we relocated after two nights. We rented unit 201 in tower C, which is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath unit. We chose this because of the bunk beds in one of the rooms in order to accommodate everyone. We drove from Maine and my sister arrived about 1.5 hours ahead of me. She asked if she could have them speak to them on the phone so that they could check in (since they were traveling with a 1.5-year old) and was told that I needed to be there in person in order for her to check, since the reservation was in my name. Fair enough. She then asked if they could go to the restaurant to eat and wait for us but was told it was for guests only (Town Center restaurant). I really felt this was unacceptable. She wasn't even asking to use the pool area - just to go grab a bite to eat since they had been on the road for two days. They ended up leaving and going to another local restaurant until we arrived. Upon check-in I was advised that since I was paying for the room with a credit card there would be a 2.5% "convenience fee" added to the total cost. Apparently this is included in the last paragraph of the fine print of the reservation and just feels like a complete money grab after paying over $4,000 for an 8-night stay. We received our keys and were summarily dismissed by the unpleasant front desk clerk with zero directions or information with regard to amenities, hours, etc. When we went to the room we could see that it was going to be very tight quarters, which we could have lived with, but it was also VERY dirty. My mom walked barefoot for a few minutes and her feet were completely black. There was food and ick on the floor by the stove, the cabinets were completely beat up, gum stuck to the underside of one of the bunkbeds, there was splattered toothpaste on the primary bathroom faucet, hair stuck to towels, etc. In addition, the kitchen sink was leaking and the doorhandle to the deck off of the primary bedroom was broken. I will say that after completing the "welcome" survey and indicating my dissatisfaction I quickly got a phone call from management. They asked if we would like someone to come reclean the room but honestly, it was just caked on wear and tear that wasn't going to come off with a simple floor washing. The unit had seen years of marginal cleaning and needed a facelift. They did immediately send Roy and Raymond from maintenance who quickly repaired the leaking sink (it required a new disposal) and the door handle. They were top notch. Over the course of the next two days we were simply met with disappointment at every turn. No towels in the pool area - you had to bring your own. Unpleasant staff at the pool bar. At the restaurant, Town Center, we were completely ignored for at least 20 minutes (we weren't the only ones - we spoke to one guy who said he had waited 15 minutes outside at the pool bar only to come inside instead and be ignored there when there was literally one family eating inside and nobody else). The final straw was when I went to the front desk to get the $100 food and beverage credit they said I would receive because of the condition of the room. When I showed up the front desk clerk went out back to discuss it with management and, after waiting about 15 minutes, she came back to say that they had agreed to give me $50 instead. We went back to the room, back up our family of 8 and $500 worth of groceries and moved down the road to Kingston Plantation, which was a MUCH better experience. So, if you are considering staying here make sure your unit is upgraded and be prepared with your own towels for the pool area. You should also plan on bringing items for the room because there was no sponge or dish rag for dishes, no paper towels and just one extra garbage bag.

Roy is the best We love Beach Cove Resort! We have stayed the last 2 years here. ROY the maintenance man is the best. Anything you ask him he does with no problem. He even got my ring off my finger after I fell and it was swollen around the ring. Great rooms, comfortable beds.

Spring break Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, view was prefect. We were in from 415 and could see the water prefect but not sunset or sunrise from balcony. Will stay again. Amber at the front desk was amazing. Negatives no food on-site after breakfast. Dining area opens at 4 pm and is closed on Monday and Tues. GAME room had noone to collect tickets for prizes.
