Amazing experience at Holiday Inn Oakville @ Bronte This was our first time staying at the Oakville Holiday Inn @ Bronte. We were just looking for a reasonably priced, clean hotel for overflow beds for a family reunion. This hotel far exceeded our expectations and we won't stay anywhere else now when we return on subsequent visits to Oakville. The room was lovely - clean, well thought out (little touches like a hook on the wall for a wet towel or a jacket) and the air conditioning was effective and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. But the breakfast! It wasn't the usual carb-heavy included breakfast with maybe a waffle maker and some messy cups that don't get cleaned up. This was a full-service buffet - there were scrambled eggs done beautifully (hot and fluffy and kept replenished), bacon, sausages, French toast, pastries, everything fresh and tasty. And the service was just beyond anything I've experienced in an included hotel breakfast. Anna and Evan were spectacular - coffee was provided in a carafe and on day 2 I was brought a carafe of decaf without prompting because that's what I'd had on day 1. Plates were cleared fast, and even the chef made appearances to ensure that the hot food was still looking appealing, and to top up anything getting low (the bakery items kept being brought out warm and varied). It was, quite frankly, the highlight of my trip. I will be back.

Stayed here for a week Was here for just over a week for a wedding. We had a king suites booked and they were perfect. Amble room for a couple and child, rooms were clean and functional. Breakfast was excellent, ample choice but the chef was great who would make breakfast to order on a daily basis (some of the best poached eggs iv had)

Lack of professional attitude when dealing with a guest! Worst receptionist I have meet in my whole life, the professionalism is literally zero, He was so rude and non respectful in dealing with me, criticizing my English, shouting on my face! To the point I told him please respect me and if you have any problem in your mood just ask me to leave but don't treat me like this! So rude so un respectful! As per him , he doesn't need to follow whatever in [link removed]when I show him my booking confirmation he just ignored it and saying I don't care about whatever in booking !!! This is his words literally, and the way he behaves with me was really so rude! I hope to have someone follow this up And I can not just pass it easy And I think this is my last reservation in this hotel.

Truly amazing staff and lovely hotel-not your average Holiday Inn!! The hotel was recommended by a friend who knows the property well. The booking was easy and there was an excellent selection of rooms available from a standard single to suites that have a separate bedroom and a lounge area with a desk, sofa bed, coffee bar - refrigerator and microwave. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at the spotlessly clean lobby which is spacious and bright and airy and well appointed. Before I even reached the check in desk I was asked if I needed help with my luggage . Check in was very efficient and the lady who booked me in was extremely kind, friendly and an absolute star, and in no time I had my room cards, the WiFi password and on my way up to the room. On my way to the lift, I I had a look around the lobby and there is a little shop beside the front desk where you can purchase snack items, drinks and assorted treats such as ice cream , there is also a restaurant/ bar and a pool . I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the door to my choice of king suite. The lounge/office/coffee bar area is very spacious and well appointed with a sofa bed a large TV, desk and a generous closet. There us a decent size refrigerator, Keurig coffee machine and a microwave. There is a short hallway leading to the bedroom where I found a lovely bathroom with a spacious shower. The bedroom is of generous proportions and very bright and airy. Large TV chest of drawers, a clothes closet and side tables which frame a king bed. The mattress was perfect-not too hard or soft with lovely clean cosy linens and nice touch - pillows labeled firm or soft which gives a choice for extra comfort. I went downstairs to pick up something to drink and met the director of sales, Charles. I get the feeling he spends a lot of time with his staff and customers and could sense the staff enjoy working there which is reflected in how they engage with each other and the guests. He is friendly, warm and enthusiastic and very charming and I can see where his staff gets their passion for providing exceptional customer care in a way that is genuine and not forced-they mean it. I was greeted and felt very welcome and was told if I needed anything to make my stay amazing just to ask. It s all about people and giving guests their best experience possible. He is a model for all that hotel management should be and his staff all share his passion for customer care. I travel a lot and I can say this team is by far the best-they are more like family who take care of you and take ownership in the guest experience and they mean it....not just promise it. Everything is spotless with attention to details and decor is pleasing and relaxing-not over the top just a relaxing vibe where you feel at home. There is a restaurant bar -Burger Theory, in the lobby which serves breakfast meals and dinner. You can eat in, order for pickup or have the meal delivered to your room. Nice variety on the menu and something for everyone. The hotel is promoting a Green concept and you can choose to have housekeeping daily or if and when you need it . This hotel is well situated just off the QEW in Bronte /Oakville and close to local shopping and the GO train for commuting into Toronto or for a trip to Niagara Falls, also a short drive to the shores of Lake Ontario and lovely Bronte Park. Lots of little shops, waterfront walk and a good selection of pubs and restaurants can be found there. Lot of parking at the hotel. A really great choice for extended stays when on business or a family or couples holiday.

Highway Robbery Located at the intersection of Bronte Rd. and the Q.E.W. the Burger Theory Restaurant in the IHG Hotel is redefining the term "Highway Robbery". It was clean, food was pretty good, service was definitely on the slow side. But... it wasn't until the bill arrived that we discovered the 9 ounce glasses of wine (x2) were priced at $24.00 each. Twenty-Four Dollars! This price is NOT indicated on the listed menu. The waitress did not inform us of the price when we ordered. She said, a number of times, "I'll talk to my manger about this". That is meaningless. We paid for at least 3 bottles of wine and got two glasses. That is Highway Robbery. It is dishonest. It is "money grubbing". If you like being canonized go to the Burger Theory. In an increasingly greedy world it is ever more important to share with others instances of dishonesty and not support anyone or any institution/business that is dishonest. ( Sadly the dishonesty seems rampant, from the top down. Take a look at the Gr$$nb$elt L$ndsw$p.) As for me and my house, it is still important to upright and straight forward. Can't recommend Burger Theory for this reason.
