Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel by Wyndham Ocean City Oceanfront

Amazing stay at the Howard Johnson by Windham. Hotel location is perfect! Went just the wife and I, and we had a blast even though it was only one night! I always book with Windham and the Howard Johnson did NOT disappoint!! It was amazing! Room was spotlessly clean, bed was perfect, the staff is very friendly, attentive and amazing. 10/10 will recommend the Howard Johnson by Windham, to anyone and everyone thats looking for a stay in Ocean City, MD and wants to be on the boardwalk.

Excellent stay! Adventures of a Family Vacation! Overall, an excellent experience! The rooms were very clean! Considering that my own family brought the beach back to the room with them even after rinsing off, they were able to get up all the sand, which is remarkable! I can only imagine how much sand has been removed from the room. My only hopes is the cleaners return the sand to the beach, otherwise, there won’t be a beach left for anyone else!! I may need to hire them to come clean my house! Beds were comfy. Extra pillows provided. I was excited that they were double beds because in our King bed at home, my husband just rolls away from me when I want to snuggle. I have come to realize that after about 10 minutes of him plastered against me snoring, I was the one that wanted to escape! I need to make better choices when booking beds! Staff were super friendly! So friendly that I thought they may offer up their first born child if we asked! Check in may be at 4pm, but we arrived at 12pm and inquired about parking there and heading to the beach. Not only could we park there even though it wasn’t 4pm, but they said our room was ready and let us check in early! Other fun facts: A/C is nice and cold, mini donuts right next door, coffee and tea available 24/7, No ice machine on our floor which was bummer, hotel is on the boardwalk, but far enough from the main area of the boardwalk that it wasn’t loud and noisy all night, and it’s walking distance from the beach. Would I stay again. Absolutely.

Girls getaway This was the 3rd time my friend and I have stayed here. We love it for a girls getaway just to relax and enjoy the beach. It is a perfect location for an oceanfront view on the balcony, and nice walk along the boardwalk. There are restaurants all around. The staff always greet you and are all very nice.

Jojo was great The rooms were clean. The location was perfect. Located in the middle of the boardwalk and right off the beach. Having a restaurant in the building was a plus. The only negative is that breakfast wasn’t included. The staff was very helpful. Great place to stay.

A keeper! This hotel is immaculate clean! The beds and pillows very comfortable and well maintained. Housekeeping staff are exceptional. All staff members made you feel welcome and were willing to help. A nice touch is the manager texts you to make sure your needs are met. The only criticism is the chronic parking issue that happens throughout the area. Handicap spots are limited. We have a handicap plate. This hotel has an awesome parking garage conveniently located behind the property with easy access. However, we were displaced to the street several nights because our vehicle is larger, had a roof top carrier and wouldn't clear the height on upper floors. There were smaller vehicles that could have easily fit on those higher floors. Street parking wasn't enforced earlier in the week and crowds were small so we utilized street parking. Had the circumstances been different we might have had to pay extra for parking & find space elsewhere that was less accommodating. Perhaps a policy of non-handicap, sedan models utilize upper levels, saving that lower first floor for trucks, large SUVs and the handicap. But, overall, this was one of the best stays at the beach. This hotel is definitely a keeper!
