Great!! The room was clean and comfortable, you could not hear noise from other rooms. Close to the beach and nearby stores, and also close to main entrance to Camp Pendleton where my son is stationed. Also, it is close to the I-5, Legoland, and the Corn Maze.

Keep expectations low of a near beach budget hotel. Evident the hotel is worn out and not well maintained. Staff brought a shower chair that was missing parts, and uneven. Wall outlets would not hold a plug. Mattress felt like box springs.

Oceanside stopover It was a very nice spacious room. The location was easy to find. The staff were helpful and friendly. The TV only had streaming channels and while I know other people like this, I struggled to find something to watch and had to settle for an old movie and even older TV programs. The breakfast was a little disappointing with a few wrapped choices and make your own coffee in the room. It didn't help that the coffee maker didn't work very well and gave me a very small amount of coffee in the cup.

They want you to plunge your own toilet I checked in Friday after 3pm. Tye clerk informed me that I would have to pay a deposit of $200 for incidentals and it's only taken in cash. I have never been to a hotel where you needed to pay cash for incidentals if you have a credit/debit card. I paid the money. Saturday morning I noticed I had to flush the tinier twice. Not thinking much of it I continued on. That afternoon, I used it again and it dis not flush at all. I went down to the clerk and she said, " oh, you stopped up the toilet, I will have to get a plunger for you to fix it yourself." I said excuse me? She She proceeded to get the plunger from their maintenance/cleaning closet and it was not there. So I asked her, what is it she needed me to do since I had an event to attend. She said, I will need to call maintenance to ask where it is and I will call you. A few hours went by and I did not hear from her. I called Priceline, the third party i purchased my stay through. I requested that my toilet be fixed or refund my sremaining stay. The first person, informed me that they called the front desk and they they were told to tell me to go to the front desk for Instructions. I called the front desk ad I was still at my event. The same clerknwas rude and irretrievably and asked why I would call a third party about this matter. I explained that she had not called me back, I did not want to return to a room with no working facilities and I refuse to plunge it myself. She told me that she sat the plunger at the door of my room and hung up on me. I called Priceline and spoke with Mai. I explained the situation, she read the notes from the previous call and I told her I wanted a refund. She called multiple times and was got the same clerk at the front desk that was irate to her and said she will not give me a refund nor will she be accepting anymore calls from Priceline. Then hung up on her. Mai said she would escalate the complaint. And wait for an email or call back. I did not receive either. I called Priceline again at 831pm to check on any status. I spoke with Richard. He informed me that they could offer me 20% off my next stay. I informed him that would not help me tonight. He said there was nothing they can do since it was nonrefundable and Ramada Inn refused to give a refund. I explained that they never even offered me a different room. That I did not have operable facilities in my room and that the clerk was very irate. He also stated he would escalate hit and have his Manger contact me. Jennifer from Priceline called at 1031pm. She suggested calling again and said she cannot guarantee a refund. She called and got a night shift clerk who stated that housekeeping was not on the premises and that no one would be available until morning. That they will send someone to my room first thing Sunday morning. Sunday morning, no one called or showed up. I went downstairs to the office and spoke to the morning clerk and explained. She was unaware of the situation and had maintenance informed. She stated that they would take care of it and give me a call when it was complete. This was about 11am. They called at 1pm to tell me it was fixed. It was but housekeeping never cleaned my room. I was told it was nonrefundable but are there no clause or loophole when the hotel is not providing operable facilities?! This was ridiculous. The irate clerks name was Jessie or Jessica/Jessina. Something g along those lines.

Was ok Every thing was fine. Only thing was the bed. It was hard as a rock. Felt like I was sleeping on boards. My back hurt when I got up.
