Updated rooms. Great shuttle service. Hotel was under renovations but was still tidy and presentable. Updated rooms were great. Pool and hot tub were welcomed after many days on the road. The highlight was the great shuttle service. With an early flight I wanted to drop off the rental car the night before and get checked in. Shuttle picked us up at the airport. Took us to the stockyards for dinner and returned to pick us up as well. Great service.

Worth staying here Good and bad. First the bad. The stations on the television were garbled. We tried several stations and they were all that way. Holiday Inn obviously has poor reception. The connectivity of the Internet, on our phones was very poor. We even tried their logon and it was still bad. Pages would take minutes to load. Very poor connectivity. When checking out, there was only one cart (there were at least six when we checked in). That was a triangular shaped cart and hard to navigate. It spilled our bags onto the floor several times. The clerk told us people check in, use a cart, then keep it in the room for their checkout the next day. Not the hotel's fault by some rude customers doing this, but those triangular shaped carts should be discarded....they are useless. Coffee at 4:00am was stone cold. Had to use the microwave in the room to warm it up. Now the good. Check-in and out was very easy. The three clerks we saw were very pleasant and always greeted us. The hotel and room was very clean. This hotel is under renovations, but there was no debris or dirt anywhere. There is a swimming pool area that was very nice. It even had a waterfall into the pool. We noticed a chair life into and out of the pool....nice touch. There is a workout room, but is very small and very limited in what is offered. If more than two people were in the room, it would be tight. And, using the dumbbells is a challenge as swinging them in such a confined area would be hard. No food for us as we were too early for dinner (we hear there is a restaurant there) and too early for breakfast. But the hotel offers them. The hotel is very conveniently located off the Interstate. Back-tracking that same route and beyond and there is a straight shot to the airport (which brought us to the City - a very early flight out). Overall, we'd stay here again. Compared to the Holiday Inn Express a few blocks away and there is no comparison. That HIE, which we've stayed at before, has way too many issues - including a dead mouse in the room (3rd floor). Lots of other hotels to choose from in this area We checked in after a long day of driving. The hotel needs some updates to the room. The bathroom door had a hole in it. There were only 3 bath towels provided in the bathroom despite reserving a room for 4. The room was very hot. We tried turning the air on but it didn’t cool down all night. When we told the staff at checkout we just got a “sorry.” The room had somewhat of a funny smell. Not a good experience at this location.

BUYER BEWARE: Worst Hotel In America First off, this airport hotels shuttle was out of commission, while the website boasts that it is up and running. When the front desk worker told me it was out of commission and I would have to find alternative transport to my flight, I showed her on the website that it says it’s condition is up and running. She then pointed to a paper sign on the counter that said the bus was down in a dismissive and rude manner. Next, the room smelled like the maid smoked a blunt while cleaning it. All the furniture was ripped and smelled horrific, and the shower water was ice cold. The front desk worker, who is also the manager, dismissed the cold water by saying there was nothing they could do about it.

Not good I am a loyal Holiday Inn business traveller. Always use IHG hotels to get the points, which are great. Needless to say, I have stayed in a LOT of Holiday Inns over the last 15 years - probably 75+ Holiday Inns I reckon This has to be the worst I have stayed in. The breakfast is utterly appalling - barely edible. The room was unclean. The furniture was ripped. The whole place is extremely tired and unloved. And bizarrely, there is never anyone on the front desk. You have to go and see them in their office....and they always have their back to the door. All very awkward. The staff were very friendly, however. Avoid this one until it's refurbished and breakfast is improved.
