Sleek & Modern Kudos to Alvaro at the front desk. He was super busy but cheerful & helpful, placing me in the "just right" room. Automatic front doors, zippy elevator. Fridge/micro & free wifi w/great signal. Slept well on super comfortable bed w/nice linens & fat, fluffy pillows. In room coffee. Arrived late & left out early so can't comment on continental. Hope I get to linger a little longer but for the brief time I was there, everything was top notch :-)

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE The WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. I’m in the military and have stayed at some sketchy places. This hotel was the nastiest hotel ever. Also we had to switch rooms 3 times because the ac didn’t work. Our last room the ac worked but our pull out couch had cigarettes and all sorts of stuff stuck to it. Smelled like mildew. Not worth it. Do not stay here please. It’s nasty and hot.

Just Kept Getting Worse We stayed one night at the Holiday Inn in OKC North. From the moment we arrived, it just kept getting worse. The staff did upgrade us to a suite which was the one high point. When we entered the room, the temperature was 82 degrees (as recorded in my photo). The air was stale and stifling. It took several hours to cool down. The room was dilapidated with stains on the wallpaper in the bathroom and worn out furniture. The bed was okay, but the flood lights from the neighboring FBI building flooded our room. Normally the blackout curtains would fix that, but part of the curtain was missing allowing light in. We did not sleep well. We felt like we were escaping the next morning. This was a terrible property and stay.

This hotel has gone down hill since our last visit. The front desk person was very friendly when we checked in on Christmas Eve and both people were friendly when we saw them Christmas morning. But the shower water was not warm at all that night and we told them this as we left the next morning. Unfortunately nothing was done and I had a cold shower that night again. The shower faucet handle was about to fall off the wall as both screws holding it on were about to come out. This was mentioned as well that morning to the front desk but nothing had been done to it while we were out all day/evening. Those things along with the very bad patch job on the bathroom door and light switch about to fall out…made us not want to ever stay here again. This has been a regular place to stay when we visit OK city but we will be looking for a different hotel next visit.

The Hotel Chains Need to Do Better. We had to look long and hard to find a hotel with a whirlpool and/or hot tub at an affordable price (which is still a lot of money). It was very stressful because of remote reservation line people don't know anything about the local hotel you are looking to book at, and they don't care what you want. We needed to be able to speak to someone AT the hotel to find out answers to our questions and if there was a working hot tub and to pick the floor we wanted that was quiet, but not too high up. I called the number with the local area code hoping to speak to the local hotel staff. But we got some liar on a reservation line pretending to be there. I asked for a direct line to the hotel but was refused. This person told us there was a working hot tub with the pool. After questioning this person repeatedly, they finally admitted they were not there, but "remote." They also would not give me the rate I had seen on the Holiday Inn's online website. I was very angry at the deception and refusal to give me a direct phone number as well as the price increase for no explained reason. So, I declined to make a reservation with this deceiver, but since I still hoped for the hot tub and whirlpool, I made my reservation online. But despite advertising the amenities, there was NO wi-fi, breakfast not included, hot tub was a lie, dusty table, phone, and lamp did not work, few towels. Staff would not fix Internet issues (are they not getting any support from the chain to fix things or what?) and even after repeated efforts to get them to make all of this right, they still charged for one day of breakfasts we thought were included. That was really stressful and disappointing. Hotel chains should stop using remote reservation lines only. This is not the first time reservation line personnel have lied just to try to get you to make a reservation. The remote people do not care about your experience or the truth, just making the reservation in the laziest way possible. As far as I'm concerned, no reservation line person can be trusted to tell you accurate information. The chains need to provide local reservation information. The hotel chains should also do better at training staff how to get technical help to get Internet issues resolved.
