Excellent deal, solid hotel! My friend and I stayed at this hotel for four nights while on a trip to Kansas and Missouri. I was able to snag a deal of only $88 a night - for a Candlewood Suites, that is fantastic! For reference, the previous Candlewood Suites we stayed at in Salina, Kansas was $136 for one night. Now, this seems to be an older Candlewood Suites property, so it might feel a bit dated for some, and the lobby area is rather small. Another thing to note: if I remember correctly, housekeeping only comes in your room once a week at Candlewood Suites hotels. Since we only stayed for four nights, housekeeping never came to our room. I'm sure they'd still come if you request them to. With that being said, our room still felt relatively modern, was perfectly clean, well maintained, and everything was in working order. I can't recall any issues we had during our stay. This might be one of my favorite hotels I've stayed at in recent years. If you're able to get a similar deal that I did, I would absolutely recommend this place. Even if it's a bit more expensive, I'd say it's still worth looking into, and it seems to be a perfectly fine choice for extended stays.

Candlewood changed my reservation because they were overbooked I booked a room at the Candlewood in November 2023 for a weekend stay in mid April 2024. On 4/13 I got a call from the manager, Shawn, saying they were overbooked and moving me to their sister property 15 minutes away. I had specifically booked this hotel because I’m running the marathon and wanted to be close to the race. I booked through Expedia so, unfortunately, it’s non refundable. My friend had booked the Candlewood as well (not through Expedia) and she got a call today that they couldn’t accommodate her reservation and they were moving her to another property even farther away. Don’t book this hotel unless you want to deal with a place that doesn’t know how to honor reservations.

One night - passing through I just passed through, only one night, on my way to New Mexico. It was fine. Was able to have fan running constantly, so never really heard any noises. Very near to a variety of shops and restaurants.

Nicely appointed room but rooms on highway side are very noisy We've stayed at this property 3 times total. We like having a separate bedroom and the kitchenette. The hotel is near our relatives and it gives us our own space when we need down time. The employees have always been pleasant and helpful. Be sure to ask for a room on the parking lot side of the building. The highway side rooms are incredibly noisy due to 20+ hour a day heavy semi truck traffic on I-35. The parking lot lights are very bright and are not blocked by the curtains in the room. Our room's mattress needed to be changed out as it had definite 'imprints' where former guests had slept. On the upside, the living room couch and chair were comfortable and new. All the kitchen cookware, dishware and silverware were also new. The hotel was renovated a couple of years ago and things do look fresh & clean. The hotel caters to workmen who stay there long-term; unfortunately some are not always the quietest guests when it comes to walking down the halls and in their room if you happen to stay below them. We will probably stay there again and remember our experiences from this trip and act accordingly.

Cockroaches in bed Woke up with cockroaches in my bed. Manager gave me a $20 room credit. Wtf?!? Checked out and went to the Hampton Inn down the road. You would think they would take care of their customers more than a $20 credit. Don’t waste your time, go somewhere else.
