Holiday Inn Express per usual The hotel room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to spread out in after a long day on the road. The queen-sized beds were so comfortable and well made without any sheets popping off in the middle of the night. Breakfast was pretty standard fare for mid-range hotels. The breakfast nook isn't very big but they control it by letting the traffic for only in one direction. We noticed that there was no pad or pen for guests to use, but the desk area had a really nice lamp that made it easier to see at the desk.

Nice hotel and clean. Too bad employees can’t stop talking and serve breakfast. All you hear is the 3 women talking Too bad the breakfast ladies and front ladies 3 total can’t stop talking and telling stories instead of doing their job. Breakfast is 6:30 at 6:45 still not open and serving breakfast , but ohh the stories and gossip. 15 people sitting down here for breakfast and nothing out. Not impressed at all with service.

Great Location, Clean, Friendly Staff We stayed here while on a trip to an Ole Miss football game in nearby Oxford. The staff at check-in, check-out and breakfast were friendly and professional. The room was clean. The breakfast selections were good and still very warm. The only thing I would change is the scent on the cleaner they used in the room. It was pretty strong. It is conviently located right off of the Interstate, but we didn't hear any traffic noice. The price was reasonable. I would stay here again (and likely will) without hesitation.

Worst experience ever Worst hotel experience ever and I’m still dealing with it. Steven, the night manager, is a liar. The elevator is broken and has been for some time now and I was told it will be for awhile. They put us on the 3rd floor. We decided it was fine and would deal with lugging all our luggage up three flights of stairs as a family of 5. The hallway outside our room was 88 degrees per the thermostat on the wall. Again, we would deal with that since it wasn’t our room. We drop our luggage and go eat. When we get back it’s after 9:00 and getting ready for bed. We notice the A/C in the room is not getting any cooler. Our floor is sticky. Even the carpet is sticky. I go down to the front desk and talk to Steven. He was apologetic and another worker told us they’d move us to a room down the hall and wanted us to go check to make sure the A/C was working. _ red flag. I ask if there was the same amount of beds and I was told yes. My husband goes down to check and there were not enough beds. So I go back down to the front desk and tell them. Steven looked very surprised by this. He then says he can move us to the first floor. I ask if there’s the same amount of beds. He tells me no. They don’t have any more suites available. I send a text to my husband and he says no he doesn’t want to lug all the luggage and kids down and still have to squeeze into the beds. I tell Steven that my husband said no he didn’t want to move. Steven then tells me he’s giving us 3,000 points and he got the price down to $75. I said okay. Never did I say we were leaving the hotel or wanted to check out. At 7:30 the following morning we were awoken by someone trying to come in our room. The door opened and hit the lock bar. Scared all of us. My husband goes out to see what it’s about and a man is standing there saying he was told we were checked out and he needed to fix the A/C. This was news to me because me and Steven never had that conversation. 30 minutes later, the same guy and a front desk clerk both come up and told my husband we were checked out. So after getting all the kids up and around we load up in the car and I go to check out. Cherita at the front desk was extremely rude and said she had called Steven at home and woke him up and he told her we were checked out and now to charge us the full price of the room. I said no, he said it would be $75. She was very rude so I asked for her name. She grabbed her name tag and basically pushed it in my face. I grabbed the business card for the district manager. I called and left a message for Katrina the DM. Two days later Katrina calls me and apologizes and says that’s not the way she does things. She asked for my email and said if I gave her a couple days she would send me a receipt for $0.00 balance. I thought okay. That’s great. We get home from vacation and check our credit card statement. We have been charged the full price of the room. I call the hotel and Steven answers. I explain to him who I am. He immediately gets rude and says you were the one who checked out but didn’t leave!!! I told him Katrina called me and said it would be a $0.00 and he said “that’s not true!”. I told him yes, she did call me and say that. I then asked to be connected to her voicemail. He said no and hung up. I called back two more times and he never answered my calls. I called guest relations and made a complaint. They only want to give me 5,000 points on top of the 3,000 already given. I asked them to go listen to the recorded phone calls so they could hear Katrina telling me that and also hear Steven accusing me of lying. We do not want 5,000 points. At this point, a simple apology for the way we were treated would suffice.

Horrible, dirty, no elevator, rude staff! Absolute horrible experience! To start the elevator was broken and we were not notified until after we checked in. We were on the 3rd floor with a family of 5 so we had to drag all our luggage and kids up 3 flights of stairs. The entire staircase and 3rd floor smell like fresh green “growing” marijuana. The smell was so strong it made me think someone was either growing weed in one of the rooms or this motel is next door neighbors to a large weed grow. We get to the 3rd floor hallway and the A/C is broken in the hallway. The thermostat read 88 degrees in the hallway. There was a trail of trash and dryer lent in the hallway leading up to the laundry. We entered our room and my shoes immediately stuck to the tile floor because the floor was all sticky. The room temp was 75 but the thermostat was set on 65. Beside the bed was a large stick unidentified puddly of something nasty. We left to go eat dinner and came back and the room had still not cooled off. We asked to change rooms but they did not have any other rooms big enough to fit our family of 5 so the night manager told my wife they would discount the room for us by checking us out early to reduce the rate. The next morning at 7am the maintenance man tries to enter the our room while we were asleep to fix the A/C. He said he was told we were gone. He can back 10 minutes later and was rude saying we needed to leave cause he was told we were checked out. Once we were leaving my wife took the keys to the front desk and the female day shift clerk was immediately rude and hateful. Told my wife we weren’t suppose to be there and that we had been checked out at 11pm the night before and she was going to go back and charge us full price. When my wife attempted to explain what happened the night before and that we had never intended on leaving the employee got hateful and told my wife she was done with her and took her hand and shooed her away! 10 out of 10 don’t recommend staying at this dump of a motel with very rude unprofessional staff!
