Racist Discrimination If you are a black person please beware of staying with this property! I was refused a menu at Fresco and Aquarius. It wasn’t until they made me wait while they verified my room and that I had an all inclusive plan… the kicker is, my orange bracelet that indicates this never left my wrist… furthermore I am being treated so poorly by the staff. I observed the waitress that half ass served me, greet Caucasians with a smile and good morning etc, not once asking for a room # to go verify. This has happened 3 times. Even tonight as I ate in. L.G. Smith’s Steak & Chop House… I had all my belongings on the table… cell phone, purse etc… I told my waiter that I was going to the restroom.. at that time most of my food was served… the steak over cooked and the soda was out of syrup… this supposed to be upscale… any ways… I told him I had to go to the restroom which is inside the restaurant… he asks for my room and last name… which was given to him when I was seated. This had me sooo hot! This is the worst I have ever been treated on vacation… I have 2 nights remaining… However the damage is forever done. Colorism is bad in Aruba… brown skin is obviously looked down upon… reminds me of Brazil… no billboards showing brown skin models etc. I can’t wait to get off this prejudice island! I am in room 2247 Aug 17-22. Even when I went to the casino and needed a host I was ignored by the staff. After an hour passed I pulled someone different off the floor… she called the host after looking down to see what kind of card I held before even looking me in the eye. So crazy!! I hate this place!

Nice place to stay for relaxing beach vacation My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. If you’re coming with family it is a good spot too—just make sure you are *not* on the marina side. For unclear reasons the hotel had loud music playing by the pool and we could hear it in our room 5 floors up through closed windows. Thankfully the cacophony usually ended by 8pm. Special shout out to César the bellman who always had change available for large bills and was super efficient loading our bags. This hotel has a ferry to its private island which has a nice cove with a beach and restaurant. It’s a bit close to the airport (for better or worse) and you do hear a few flights landing / taking off in the afternoon. You can also book a private cabana for $$$ via a website. If this sounds nice, it is! Just make sure to book it way in advance since the limited spots book up fast. If you time it right you can see a beautiful sunset by taking the last boat back from the island to the hotel.
