Coral Sands Inn

Consistently Wonderful - great family gathering location. Our large family has just returned from another long weekend at Coral Sands. Our family group varies from 35 to 45 people for our annual BeachFest. I can't imagine a small setting (vs. a huge hotel) that could suit us better. We have well maintained cottages located close to each other, hotel rooms if we need them, a pool, the ocean, beautiful open green areas, and places to gather and eat together. The staff is consistently amazing. They accommodate us from early planning until the end of our yearly four day weekend. This is the perfect family gathering location. We found it a number of years ago for a bigger, extended family reunion, and our immediate family has enjoyed it ever since.

Horrible experience Last night a lady showed up at our camp site. She did not identify herself as the manager and told us that her workers needed to do some work the meaning this morning we asked her to please wait till after we checked out at 12 o’clock and she said OK that’s fine. Woke up sat trying to drink my coffee … We had a beautiful view until two of the workers decided to put cones 5 feet from where my chair was to block my view. I asked them to stop and because they were mad that I asked them to please wait to do their work until we left at noon. The workers intentionally retaliated against me when I asked them to not start their work until we were left and they placed big red cones 3 feet from my chair I tried to complain to the manager, who was the same lady that showed up at dark last night. When I started to tell her about what her workers did, she refused to listen to my complaint because she didn’t like my tone. Yes, my tone because I was angry, for the fact, she wouldn’t even listen. Of course, my tone was aggravated. When I told her she had a problem with my tone. She needed to grow ovaries, and she got offended by that …this is still America and if you are offended by the word ovaries you have a real problem . Also, We have a problem when you can’t complain about the management.. she refused to give me their phone number. I have everything on video and I would love to present it to the owners or the corporation that is in charge of this place because what happened was horrible. After I tried to complain to her, which she absolutely REFUSED to here my complaint. I told her we were leaving early. I got back to the campsite and was asking another worker for information on her boss and she walked up harassing me again. I have all this on video. Latoya is very unprofessional and lacks management training and how to address customer complaints. I hope they have videos in the office. I have videos of everything that I wrote about here. We will never go back. Ever! Also, their bathroom has 1 inch gaps so you cannot use the bathroom in private. It’s impossible and it’s ridiculous.. Thumbs down!

A perfect reunion destination! It was the perfect place for a family reunion. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The beach is gorgeous. There is a wonderful grassy area where the kids played. We had a cottage, with pots, pans, stove, and refrigerator overlooking the beach. I hope all my family reunions will be held there in the future!

Lovely but very dated Coral Sands is a lovely old-time ocean-front resort. The current ownership has embraced that old-time feel by updating where needed (new windows, blinds, accessories in our room), but lots of very dated features remain. Nothing was terrible, but just felt so stuck in the past. Which is not a bad thing if that’s what is expected. I wanted to give an honest assessment from my point of view since I felt the large number of 5-star reviews was a bit misleading. The setting is magnificent - loved the sound of the waves all night! We stayed in the tower and the bungalows below looked very cute. Great place to stay if you know what to expect.

Right on the Beach I stayed in the hotel while visiting a friend who was recovering from surgery. I selected Coral Sands Inn because of the location. While this is not a new hotel, you won’t find a better location. The room was clean, had all the essentials for your stay and comfortable beds. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. You can select a room in the hotel, a cottage, or even a site for your RV. If you are looking for comfort and to be right on the beach, this is a great choice. It was cold on the beach but I had a great view from of the ocean from my room.
