A great yearly visit to Shadow Ridge This is probably our 15th year at Marriott Shadow Ridge- we must say this year was one of the best ever. Our rooms were lovely and clean as always. The pools were not crowded and there was no early morning rush for the chairs. Angelica the pool supervisor is amazing - She made rounds each morning- checking in with all of us “early birds”. She is a great addition to the team. If we were to have any suggestions it would be to have the pool bar open later - and the night swim until 10. Every night everyone was sad to leave the pool- this would also be a great time for ? S’mores or icecream bars as there were a ton of (little and bug) kids out. We will be there again next year!

Very bad service Bad place I will never never go there again the manager was very bad lady. The manages name Meline I t My family and I reserved a room at this hotel and didn’t have good time. The family next to us was smoking constantly and the smell was coming towards our room which isn’t good for my families and my health. We told a worker that was passing by and they said that they will call help but no one came. Then, my family and I went to go swimming around 8:00pm and the pool lights were all off and it was very dark. We contacted a manager named Meline and she was very rude and didn’t help us at all. I will never go to this hotel again.

No longer a place for families. I'm an owner at Shadow Ridge and have been coming here every summer for the last 10 years. Due to the new General Manager this place is no longer a place for families especially with younger kids. The GM has decided to only allow guests 4 hours of pool time during the day. Yes that is correct. And the GM will even choose which hours you and your family can swim. (9-1pm) or (2-6pm). Temps are in the 100s during the summer months and a family can only go into the pool for 4 hours. The GM has also closed the Kids Activity Center and Restaurant. The other two Marriott properties (Spring Villas & JW) have all their pools open with no restrictions. New GM doesn't care about customer experience and even worst can care less about kids enjoyment at Shadow Ridge. Until there's a new GM I highly recommend not staying here and instead stay somewhere your experience is valued.

Stay somewhere else Won’t stay here again. No amenities. No restaurant. Snack bar only open at pool 11-6pm with wrist band access limited to an AM or PM time lot only. Drinks are $15, you cannot bring in your own cooler and they kick everyone out of the pool from 1-2pm. The pool is PACKED to the brim. Plan to go early. Front desk staff was less than welcoming. I asked for an upgrade to a larger room and was told they didn’t have any only to look on the Marriott App and find it was available for my entire stay. If your choosing between Omni and shadow ridge - GO TO THE OMNI where the customer service and quality is exceptional. We will NOT be back to shadow ridge and furthermore this experience solidified that our interest in their vacation club is no longer. They are RUDE and dismissive as if I wasn’t a serious inquiry and or capable of affording. Outside of exceptional pool staff I would consider a three star review generous.

Beautiful place and quick check-in. I must say that given some of bad reviews, we were overwhelmingly surprised. Bldg #1800 2 BR near pool area. Pool slide is open and pool table, tennis table, cornhole toss plus other games for kids. Rooms smell like new carpeting. Walls may have been freshly painted, but not sure. Grill food at pool is good and daily Adult drink specials. Smoothies very good. Also, plenty of lounge chairs and shade covers with Misters. D/W soap, Washing Detergent, etc included in rooms. Plenty of kitchen garbage bags. Housekeeping, if needed, an easy call. If your bldg is not close to pool, there is a shuttle and when leaving pool, gate attendant can call a golf cart to take you back. We were not ever approached to attend another timeshare talk so far. This was an Interval Exchange.
