Call Before You Go Please be advised that the amenities are currently not available! There is definitely false advertising going on. We just returned from our 9 day stay and nothing was open and /or available. The pool and lazy river were both closed. The Tiki bar, restaurant, ice cream shoppe and store are all closed. I would advise you to call before you reserve this location and if you have prior reservations, you may want to reconsider and definitely call before you begin your travels here.

Drive past this place and save your life. Good location. Just embarrassingly DIRTY to the point of unsafe. Mould in the showers. Shower floor looks like it’s never been cleaned and the door locks don’t work. They should be ashamed to run a place like this. Better in the jungle…………..

Great place to stay We loved our experience at Summerhouse. It was clean, well stocked and very roomy for a family of five. There was easy access to the beach and nice amenities. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool and my husband enjoyed the sauna. It was very peaceful and quiet the last week of March.

Crime and Punishment Someone tried to break into my room around 2 am this past Friday. Tried front desk several times and nobody answered. Googled Litchfield Security. Couldn't find Litchfield Beach & Golf Resort security and reached guard at Litchfield by the Sea, who kindly gave me 843-237-3000 to call. I spoke with a lady who said my incident would be investigated. Never heard back. To top it off, had paid Expedia $116.69 for the stay and they assured me there were no hidden charges. Checked my credit card account 2 days later and had been charged $377.82 by the resort. Worked out an adjustment with Expedia - can't get through to anybody at resort to discuss the matter. Nice room and view but an extremely bad experience.

Needs Updating Convenient. Great view from our room. This place definitely needs updating to say the least. No toilet paper holder in our bathroom. Bugs in flatware drawer in the kitchenette. Murphy bed was sketchy. The actual bedroom area was clean and tidy. The lights outside of the room are a serious issue while trying to sleep. So bright shining through the drapes. Like it's noon. Bring eye masks.
