Family gathering area Family wanted to get together for a lunch. It required several to travel. So we needed a hotel that would allow us space. We had 4 different rooms. The reception was very friendly and nice. Breakfast was good. The hotel is a little on the ageing side but it’s clean and comfortable. My only recommendation is ask for a room in the 3rd floor. You can hear people overhead if you stay on the first or second floor.

Beware Hotel under total renovation Husband and I stayed three nights. We were there to visit friends in the area and attend a graduation. I booked through Hilton’s website directly. Check in went smooth, room was clean, staff was friendly. Hotel is under a complete renovation and the pool is closed. That was not told to us ahead of time and should have been. We were there for Memorial Day weekend and were expecting to be able to use the pool. The first morning we were there we had the front desk calling and knocking on our door multiple times as we were trying to get ready and leave for the graduation ceremony. He told us our reservation was for one night instead of 3, and we must book the other nights. I could see on my credit card I was already charged for 3 nights. I told him I did not have time to deal with it right then, and I would have to come back later to straighten the matter out. He was VERY rude and insisted I was wrong, and I needed to come to the desk and pay for the next 2 nights. I also had an email confirmation from Hilton for all 3 nights. It was extremely stressful. I went to the front desk and showed him and he still insisted I book 2 more nights anyway. I did not and left. We came directly back to the hotel that afternoon and thankfully the manager, who was wonderful, had straightened it all out. She also gave us a late checkout the next day, which was helpful. I would not stay here again until the renovation is completed.

Lovely hotel staff not interested On arrival my credit card would not work. I called the bank in the UK who told me it was the hotels issue this went on for hours the girl at reception saying it’s not working with no interest. She changed shift and I agreed to pay per night with the next girl an option that was not available with the first girl. The hotel itself was clean the rooms had tv fridge coffee machine the breakfast was small but enough. The WiFi was good quality. Won’t stay again due to the attitude of the first member of staff.

Creepy hotel Hotel needs updating. Shower and tile stained. Air conditioner not working well. Carpet dirty. Good water pressure in shower. Happened to stay while a group of kids were traveling although I never saw or heard them and they had a hall monitor in hallway all night just a few doors down from me. Creepy for me as I had no idea who he was. He had some type of gopro or facemask on last night. Laying on floor with laptop this morning. Went to bed last night and looked up to see these staring at me from the top of the closet. So I would sum this up as just creepy. There seemed to be a lot of people hanging around the hotel and out by the pool smoking area that were not guests. Don’t know whats really going on but I don’t enjoy staying here anymore.

There are way better hotels out there Ladies and gentleman if you are used to staying at 3 star hotels you will be disappointed with this property unless you are just hard up. First the good: Beds were comfortable and clean (at least my room was) AC was adequate. Refrigerator in room The not so good. Horrible smell when you first enter the room. People - why? Customers are coming in . We appreciate the efforts of a clean room but why the harsh odors of cleaning chemicals and industrial solutions? It's a sign of cheap cleaning. No Way in hell would that expereince be found at a hotel that values it's guests. Rust stains in the bathtub undesirables on the property by the pool And a WHACKED-Out billing system! I stayed for one night. They took my money from my card before I even arrived. They sugar coat it by calling it an "authorization"... how cute. They certainly didn't mind apologizing for it which is absolutely ridiculous because that is not an admission of how F'ed up it is, it's basically saying ' tough Sh*t'. Then minutes after I checked in, BAM, another $118 hit on my card. What? A charge for one night is fine, but not TWO! Again, they do not care. Im staying for one night people. I was out a total of $237 which wiped me out for dinner as my card declined when trying to pay for an item. What property does this? This one does. As a frequent traveler to Houston and other parts of the state, I know a good hotel when I'm there. I can testify that IHG hotels (Holiday Inn) do not pull those shenanigans as do not Candlewood Suites, Courtyard Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt properties. So watch out for that. All the can do to remedy the situation like that is to apologize over and over hoping you'll swallow it and go away. The next day the "authorization" dropped off and my statement reflected only a one night charge. But the drama it caused was not worth this place. Sorry folks you cant just take and meddle with someone's money. Budget conscious travelers are not prepared for that, especially when other Hotel chains do not conduct business transactions that way. I learned my lesson good. I'll gladly pay $199 a night to stay at a more customer friendly property.
