Getaway weekend The front desk person Jill was very awesome and friendly. The room was clean and breakfast was really good. My only downside was the person on the floor above us that was up all night. But I must say, once I contacted front desk after 6 it was stopped. The morning _ front desk Astrazk was very nice and I thanked her for taken care of those ppl.

Two thumbs down So disappointed. This room - and the hotel -were in desperate need up an update. The headboards did not match the curtain valances. The couch looked like it was 30 years old…threadbare and totally sagged in the middle. The tv was on the wall perpendicular to the beds so it was virtually impossible to watch tv. The bedspreads and towels were dingy. We could hear everything above us. Every step they took was like a herd of elephants. The shower appeared dirty and I’m not sure when they last time they cleaned the fridge, but there was someone’s pineapple in it. The only pleasant thing was that bed was comfortable and the girl at front desk was pleasant. I’ve stayed at alot of Hampton Inns but this will be the last for a while.

False Advertising I walked into Hampton Inn in Birmingham-Pelham. It is actually a Hilton. I was so disappointed. Nowhere did anything say Hilton. I have had a terrible experience at a Hilton True and we weren’t ever going to stay at a Hilton again. Unfortunately after 9 hours in the car with a 2 year old we decided to stay and give it a try. AFTER check in I was informed there is a $75 fee for my 4lb Yorkie. I was so tired and angry and couldn’t imagine getting us all back in the car loading the luggage etc. that I just said go ahead and charge me. I booked my stay through my AAA app. Not one mention of a $75 fee. Brooke at the front desk told me I should take it up with AAA. “Sorry. Have a wonderful evening “

A dirty bed will ruin your stay every time! We’ve stayed in this hotel before on the way to the beach, but this stay will probably be our last here. We knew the hotel was undergoing renovations, but the rates were still over $215 a night despite the mess, noise, and the fitness center being closed. There was lots of dust flying and on the carpets in the hallways. There was drywall in the floor outside our room that we had to step in. The room itself was outdated and unclean. My daughter found a stain on the mattress cover that resembled dried blood or a spilled drink. We alerted the front desk, but nothing could be done as the hotel was full and housekeeping was gone for the evening. The manager was contacted and a towel was placed over the stain. I’m not sure how a stain that large was missed while cleaning the room and making the beds. Thankfully, we were given a discounted rate due to this at checkout. Also, the shower door would not stay shut, and water kept getting in the floor. I’ve been a Hilton Honors member for many years, but this has to have been one of the worst we’ve stayed in.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Nicholas at the front desk during the weekday was awesome. BUT the two people who work at the desk after 8pm ARE THE WORST! There were teen boys running up and down the halls pounding on doors and they did nothing about it and hung up when I complained. They refused to help anyone who came down for any assistance - as I saw them mistreat several guests. There is also NO hot water in the shower, and the renovations are being done piecemeal.
