Schitt's Creek is an upgrade Overall dingy, rundown, worn, damaged, out of date roadside motel experience. Cleanliness an issue. Included breakfast was prepackaged Poptarts and muffins, overripe bananas, small assortment of yogurt. Room rates didn't reflect substandard amenities, appearance, or poor maintenance. Front desk staff friendly, however, their response to complaints evident they are either accustomed to them and/or have adopted an overall mantra of "we have given up." Highly unsatisfactory. Highly unsatisfactory in the way Marriot as well as this particular management has handled these complaints. The photos don't include the smell of mold and mildew coming from the sink or the unbelievably torn desk chair and dingy drapes. This was a "suite!"

Typical Mariott efficiency We found the property acceptable- unlike a few previous posters. We had a nice welcome from Melissa and Dan and thought the breakfast acceptable in these post pandemic times. All in all , we had no problems and would stay again ,

Residence Inn is showing its Age On my recent visit back to Peoria after an 11-month absence I decided to stay at the Residence Inn in Peoria as it is always more reasonable than most lodging properties and you can park very close to the entrance. On this trip, due to the so-called Pandemic, things were a little different. No complimentary hot breakfast and no manager get togethers at night. The room was ok, the furniture is getting quite worn out and will definitely to be replaced soon. The carpets in the hallways are showing their wear also. The big issues you have at this property is the noise when parents allow their kids to play in the halls and the elevator, which is ridiculous when there is a large patio outside right next to a nice basketball court, and there is a small indoor pool. On this trip, five nights to be exact, on the third night the TV in the main room simply shut off and on the screen it said NO CONNECTION. The TV in the bed room was fine but I don't watch TV in bed. I reported it to the front desk early the next morning but it never got fixed. Also for a non-smoking property the smell of cigarettes was quite evident along with the odor from marijuana, neither of those were pleasant. On my next trip to Peoria I may have to chose another property for my lodging. I have stayed at this particular hotel several times over the years and it's just in need of some remodeling and maybe some better management.

Comfortable and Clean We had a really great stay at the Residence Inn. The rooms were clean and worked well to have the two separate areas for our family. Their breakfast items out were a nice spread and I liked that they were doing 1 family at a time for the pool due to covid protocol. We had a good amount of restaurants right nearby and the mall within walking distance. Melissa was a gem and really took care of us when there were a couple hiccups with checkin so thank you for that! We would definitely recommend!

Family friendly, needs updated We stayed her on our way through on Spring Break. Check in was very easy even though we got to the hotel right at the official check in time which can be dicey. Very friendly staff. We got a 2 BR suite and it was spacious enough and clean. Not a bad stay. Now for the caveats: It is a hotel in need of updates. Every piece of furniture in our room had holes in the material due to wear and tear. The weird back on the couch made sitting on it not as comfortable on the end close to the fireplace. The fireplace is a wood burning one and I am not sure if it is functional. The beds were not very comfortable but to be fair I have a bad back and am very picky. From our room on the second floor the road noise was horrible and made it difficult to fall asleep.
