Sonesta Select Philadelphia Airport

Close to airport, nothing else Great things- Shuttle to and from the airport is amazing. Staff all very friendly. Rooms are modern and clean. Ruby Tuesday is the only place to eat nearby, but it is walking distance. Needs improvement- the rooms are extremely humid, to the point that there is moisture on the floor (sliding sneakers, wet feet when walking around). If that isn’t fixed, this place will be filled with mold and mildew in no time. The hallway is extreme loud. I was woken up twice in the middle of the night by guests yelling in the hall, or banging things in the parking lot which is directly outside the window. I did *not* like that- it doesn’t feel safe or comfortable to have the back window of the room sitting directly in the parking lot. Finally, there’s no continental breakfast or lobby coffee or any amenity like that. Just the little pod coffee in the room. There is no extra bang for the buck here. The hotel is ok. Its proximity to the airport made things easy for this trip. But, frankly, I would not stay again.

Stayed due to flight issue. I stayed at this hotel after being issued a hotel voucher because of flight issues. I had been waiting hours past my original flight time, so I was exhausted and excited to get to bed (11:00pm). I went to the shuttle pickup area and waited 20+mins without seeing it, so I gave them a call (no problem). The woman who answered the phone asked where I was, so I started telling her “blue number 4 sign, says it’s for shuttles, can see (I think it was) the Marriott’s sign across from me.’ She got frustrated with me not knowing my exact location, and started to get rude in tone with me. When we got to the hotel it seemed nice. First impression of the room was nice, but there were a few things that were odd and/or unsafe: The lock the deadbolt on my door did not work, it just kept spinning and it would never “catch”. There was a coffee/tea setup with lids and supplies, but zero cups. There was some weird noise going on in the wall between the headboard and where the bathroom is on the other side of the wall. It was happening often. I found a large bug on the bathroom wall early the next morning (530am). Blue painters tape in the shape of an “X” on the dome fan light. A sliding glass door on ground level facing the bed. Handle was shaky, and all curtains drawn wide open for everyone to see you. The TV channels weren’t working at all. The AC didn’t go past 64 on the thermostat, and it wasnt maintaining the temperature, as the thermostat always stated 74/76. The buttons on the actual unit don’t work, so you can’t adjust it directly. The mini fridge wasn’t cold. The next morning I left for the airport at 6am, and became itchy, and started to develop an odd rash. As time went on throughout the day, it intensified. Currently waiting on the Zyrtec to kick in.

close to airport The hotel is clean and quiet, plenty of parking. no swimming pool or real breakfast. room was conferrable. My only complaint is that I have arrived close to 10pm after a long day and my room was not ready (check in time is 4pm!). I had to wait close to 20 minutes for them to solve the problem. This should not happen.

Only thing was no pool First time at sonesta won’t be last this was good stay booked for business trip was great experience good people quite place for friends family front desk lady Joy was great help service was great just wish had choice to swim but they do have gym I took some students we had great workout sessions

Joy gave us the best customer service experience I've ever experienced Upon arriving at the hotel, we encountered an issue that appeared unresolvable at the time but Joy was able to correct it as if it never happened. There was an issue with our rooms at check in and she was able to accommodate our needs immediately. Throughout our stay Joy has helped us with sooooo many things. She suggested local restaurants to go to, she provided not only me, but also our family with whatever she could within her power. We are traveling with high schoolers and she took care of them as if they were part of her own family in which I truly admired and appreciated. Joy has provided some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in a hotel and we travel a lot with our kids. When we come back to Philly, no question, we will be staying here.
