Bearable Checking in we were told we didn’t have a room. Turned out someone got our name wrong for the reservation (our names are typical, nothing unique or difficult to get right at all). Super alarming and frustrating. The rooms are OK, not the cleanest.. bit dusty and looks depressing even with a view of the water and bridge outside. At night it is definitely noisy as other reviews have mentioned. Thought it wouldn’t be that bad but it is. Breakfast is OK - people can eat with a view. There’s also free pretzels with mustard at the check in desk. Overall, tolerable if you don’t have much of a choice.

Loved our stay! I tagged along with my husband on a business trip. And our 2 night stay was great. Lisa was very polite and helped me find a nice coffee shop nearby. And dinner suggestions. The room was clean and blankets so comfy! All the house keepers were pleasant in the halls.

Nasty disgusting place Where do I even begin? This hotel is, by far, the worst experience I've ever had in my entire life. I stayed there in May after missing my connecting flight to Toronto. We were initially sent to the hotel next door, but it looked so sketchy that we decided to book at the Holiday Inn instead (bad idea). After arriving in our room, we put our 8-month-old baby to bed, but the smell of poop was unbearable. We thought the baby had pooped, but after checking her diaper, we realized the smell was coming from somewhere else. We even considered that someone might have farted, but after several minutes, the odor remained intolerable. We decided to investigate further, and to our horror, we discovered feces in the sheets. ____ Months later, I’m still disturbed. How on earth did the cleaner miss this? Clearly, they do NOT clean the rooms after guests leaves.

Highway noise prevents sleep! The hotel's proximity to highway I-95 made for a torturous night's sleep. While the front of the building faces the Delaware River, the back of the hotel is right up against the highway. We chose a river-view room and ended up being given a corner room that also included a view of the highway. Unfortunately, the traffic noise became more evident late at night when trying to sleep--even used earplugs and a sound machine, but the highway noise was still overwhelming. After a miserable first night, we complained in the morning. When we asked for a discount for the unacceptable room we were just told by the front desk that we should have called down at night to see if there was a quieter room available. It was then that we learned there had been another river-view room available which was closer to the middle of the building and further away from the highway. We ended up moving to that room for the second and final night of our stay. We could still hear the boulevard noise along the river side, but with earplugs it was significantly less disturbing than the constant highway noise of the first room. Why we weren't given the better room that was available from the start makes no sense. It also doesn't make sense that the hotel does not have adequate soundproofing given its location. I wish I had seen the negative reviews on TripAdvisor and hotels.com about the highway noise. Despite years of noise complaints it remains a serious problem. There are reviews from 2018 concerning the noise, and a manager's response stated that they were in the process of upgrading the windows, but the noise complaints continued in 2019 and it is now 2024! I will no longer be choosing Holiday Inn as they are disregarding their customers' needs (sleep!) which should be a top priority.

Wonderful experience Lisa, Courtney, and Yasmin are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! Checking in was simple and quick. The room and common areas were clean and neat. Plenty of parking (paid). Security is a nice touch. I'll be staying there again, for sure.
