Very Welcoming Staff When we pulled up and walked in the restaurant and lobby are beautiful. We were welcomed by Issac and Joe who were great. Issac gave us great directions and Joe gave us 3 good cheese steak places to try. Believe it or not my son and I tried them all. I didn't get to see them before I checked out but the recommendations and the service thru out my stay was wonderful. My son will be going to Drexel next so we will be back.

Great Staff providing great service With so many hotels limited by short staffing and various problems caused by Covid, we left one Marriott brand hotel and moved to the Renaissance. As Ambassador / Lifetime Titanium level customers, we found that this hotel had the best combination of amenities and staffing so we booked there. My compliments to Juliette and Isaac on welcoming us to the property and providing us with a lovely corner king room overlooking Chestnut and the green area directly across. While this is a good hotel in all regards, I’m giving them a 5 rating for the services provided during our 5 day stay. We had our car in and out of valet daily, sometimes multiple times. Our wait was never long. We limited out housekeeping demands BUT never had to ask twice for linens and coffee etc. The bar and menu were quite adequate and the service, especially Beth, was excellent. Thank you to everyone at the Renaissance for a pleasurable stay. People and service are the differentiators in this nearly past Covid time. And this hotel did a great job.

Great central location Pros: - hotel was clean - staff was very friendly and accommodating - easy to find free parking - waking distance from metro and downtown attractions - lots of great places to eat within a two block radius Cons: - the hallway smelled like weed when going/coming from elevator we told the staff but I'm not sure how much they were able to do about it

Can’t go wrong with the location. Staff went above and beyond, granted us late checkout for a later flight. Friendly faces and welcome reception. No housekeeping during Covid, but even at hotels that offer it we usually decline it. Yes the decor is funky and dark but it’s part of the charm, and matches several “out there” museums in the area. With the shades drawn the room is just as lit as any other hotel. Bathroom is nice and actual room was spacious. Would definitely return due to its perfect location close to great food on market street, independence hall is literally less than a minute walk away. And it’s across from the second Bank of America with a great portrait gallery. About a 5 minute walk the other way is penns landing and the river for more great scenery. No need to stay in other parts of philly as you can walk everywhere or use the metro if you need. Even city hall is only 0.6 miles away. Don’t overlook this hotel, it’s perfect for the value.

Excellent Stay at the Renaissance Philadelphia My Friends and I stayed at this Property due to location. it’s near everything that is walking distance the staff was wonderful and very informative. Tracey at Front desk who I spoke with earlier made sure she blocked my friends and I next to each other with beautiful view without asking. My friends and I was very pleased with our rooms. Giancarlo who was concierge frontdesk receptionist was also very helpful and informative. He made us very comfortable and I had a few issues and he quickly resolved them. My friends and I will definitely be back to Philly and plan to return to this particular property again, such a lovely staff and beautiful decor. _
