Great hotel So I was very happy with this choice. Stayed here because the car rental is inside the hotel. It was very clean. Staff were excellent. Housekeeping asked if we needed anything else at check in. Room was comfortable and very clean. Price was great and the people at reception were wonderful. They even gave me a late check out. Only down side was it was hard to find bell man and there is no pool.

Great hotel but please bring back lounge and breakfast Stayed here during the independence day weekend with friends. We were all very happy with our rooms. One of our rooms is a corner room and has two windows facing NJ. We were able to see some nice fireworks in people's backyards through the windows. The hotel is spacious and nice. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and professional. Special shoutout to Rose, who really helped us multiple times during our trip. I would have given it a five star review if it weren't for the breakfast. So far we are still getting the grab-to-go bags and we wish the lounge will be re-opened or give us vouchers (for elites) to eat in the restaurant.

This was such a nice stay, what a view from my room This is the third time I have stayed at the Philadelphia Marriott downtown and it is such a pleasure to stay here. The room was large and very comfortable and the bed was soft, comfortable and firm. I slept like a log both nights I was here. The bathroom was very nice but the shampoo was bolted to the wall and they did not come in to refill it with the number of showers I was taking due to the heat. The one thing that kept the hotel from getting a perfect rating was they never cleaned the room. They could have at least refreshed the room and made the bed and provided new towels. I hate coming back to a dirty room. Still you can't beat the location. It is near everything and I liked the fact that they had security at the front door at night. That made me feel safe.

Average stay Let me start with all of the good about this hotel. The location is amazing! We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. The beds were comfortable. Nice fluffy pillows. I slept great. The website didn’t state clearly that the pool was closed. We picked the hotel because the website didn’t clearly say it was closed. Found out they had it listed in a completely different place from other properties. It’s not a huge deal, but my daughter was looking forward to it. The beds are small double beds. I wish they had queen beds. My husband is 6’3 with very broad shoulders and we had to sleep in separate beds. He’s a Marriott Titanium Elite member and he’s supposed to get a guaranteed suite upgrade. We had really hoped for that upgrade, but we’re told all their suites are currently under renovation. None of this is me really complaining, which is why I rated my experience 3 stars. It was just very average. If you are traveling for business or as a couple with no kids you may really like this hotel.

Comedy of errors We have stayed at this hotel several times for either work or to attend the flower show over the last several years. This year it was a comedy of errors. They couldn’t get out of own way! They are redoing the whole lobby and it is a COMPLETE mess. When we tried to use the elevators to go to the 14th Flr, we were told that they are out of order-ALL OF THEM. Come to find out the Fire Dept was doing something which really lent a feeling of safety in the operation of the elevators. The hotel is in dire need of a makeover. Overall we were disappointed and may give them another chance once the renovation is complete.
