Great hotel - good stay We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a recent road trip. The hotel is easy to find and is well-located outside of downtown. Within a 5 minute walk is a large Fashion shopping area with good restaurants and an adjacent cinema. We were welcomed at reception with a friendly greeting and quickly checked-in. There is a large breakfast area and a decent size outdoor pool. The elevators were a bit slow but otherwise everything was good. My room was a good size, clean and quiet. The breakfast was good too. Only negative was that you pay for parking here which always is annoying especially in out-of-town locations.

NOT 3 star not even close I can not believe this is rated a 3 star hotel. The value for the amount of money they charge is just shameful. Look at what they give you at check in to explain the amenities this is 2024 why would you give this to your guests in a 3 star hotel unless you do not care about your business! The hotel is LOUD not just the rooms the plumbing the heater the elevator and thin walls and doors. It is in an alley next to a parking garage absolutely no ambience. Who would use the pool with no privacy from the road? The girl at the desk could care less she was in a hoodie and looked like she rolled out of bed to get to work. This hotel is so overpriced for the quality of service, room and amenities. Did I say LOUD save your self the aggravation and book somewhere else. The coffee and the breakfast are a joke. I have written off Hampton Inn and will never ever book this hotel brand again.

Average Room We choose this hotel for convenience to events we were attending. Overall our room was adequate. Room was large, bed OK & sheets were nice. Our room overlooked Highland Ave. We heard a lot of noise from traffic. We had some electrical issues but Housekeeping moved our microwave to another outlet & it worked. The complimentary breakfast was typical. Coffee was very good, I would like to thank Shawn at the front desk for repairing a billing issue.

Nice Room/So So on Breakfast Staying at Hampton you expect a level of consistency. This one missed the mark. We had that with our room. But not the breakfast..which was a bit of a disaster ..both days we were there The room was huge. We had a king which left a large area for the pull out couch, table, desk etc. Plenty of room to put our bags and stuff. Desk, and night stands, had plenty of plugs, USB outlets etc to charge everything. Another family member had one of the double queen rooms and said the room needed a makeover. From other reviews and some workers we saw, it looked like they were still working on renovations in some parts of the hotel. Wifi worked ok, but its rather irksome that today you get a slow speed from a hotel and have to pay more for a high speed that everyone else offers for free as the normal, only, wifi. I only use it to remote into my office, surf the web and collect emails, but it was still rather slow even for that ( I would get a lag on my remote connections which I don’t almost everywhere else …in the world!). There was a mini fridge and micro, but wish they had a laptop safe. The breakfast however was not up to what one normally expects from a Hampton. The breakfast bar is one of the main reasons to pick a Hampton over some other chains. Not so much that its included in the price (which is nice) but for most people it’s a convenient way to get breakfast quickly before rushing off to a meeting or whatever and not having to hassle to find a restaurant and spend an hour etc. First the buffet area is a really small area. Especially for the size of the hotel. We were there on a weekend, and it did not seem that the hotel was that full…based on the people we saw and the parking area was not half full. Still, people were lined up waiting to get food, tripping over each other to get food as its really tight, and worst of all….half the food was gone, regular coffee empty ..with no attendant checking or refilling for quite some time. We got to the buffet around 9 am (still another hour before it closed) to find the regular coffee empty, the muffins gone and empty, 3 tater tots remaining in the tray, something shriveled up that looked that it might be a sausage, an egg and ham mush with one spoonful left, the oatmeal down to scrapping the sides of the container, the waffle batter almost empty, the syrup gone …and no attendant to be found. After waiting 15 minutes for someone to refill things, we yelled into the side room and someone came out …and slowly refilled things…over the next 15 min or so. And the oatmeal, which my wife was waiting for, was more like soup. The oatmeal was not fully cooked . Probably over time it would absorb the water…but who has time to wait…after already waiting a half hour. breakfast at these buffets should not even take a half hour. I thought this might have been a fluke the first day, but similar experience the next morning too. The hotel has to have enough staff to handle the breakfast bar, and make sure the staff does its job. As for the size of the buffet area, not much they can do about that, but in remolding I would have thought they would have addressed this issue. Website photos were fairly accurate as to our room (a bit nicer in the photos) but not to my other family members room. Other photos of the hotel are fair representations. All that said, the price was reasonable, the room good, parking easy, and the location, for us, was central to where we had to go. So would I stay there again, yes, but I hope the fix the buffet situation ..which is an easy management fix if they stayed on top of and trained their staff, and upgraded some of the food items to “edible” ..even if just to normal Hampton standards.

Try another place My sister booked a room for my wife and I. The pool was under construction and the lower lobby was a disaster. The front desk lady chased me down the street to let me know about the dog policies (going out for the day) and hung a tag on the door so the maids didn't clean our room . The breakfast was not good. It was more of a Continental style. Room smells terrible. Bought air freshener myself for the odor. Sneezed the whole time because of the dust from the construction. Horrible place to stay.
