Great stay! I took my wife to Saint Joseph hospital in Phoenix, expecting the best possible diagnosis and received the worst possible news. The manager at the Hampton Inn, Jeff Witt, was very supportive and one of the most compassionate individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. This aspect of my stay alone was worth more than I can express. The staff was great as well. Thank you all for a pleasant stay and your support. T. P. - Prescott, AZ

Worst Hampton ever? Room was not ready at check in 3PM. Had to wait about half an hour more. Was told this was due to staff shortages, a management controllable. A first for Hilton over twenty or so years. Put in room next to launderamat. At about 1030 pm, loud power washing going on across the street. Tub and toilet had slow leaks.

Average at best This hotel is average at best and I could easily have given it two stars. First, the bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have slept in for a while. The room was basic but clean enough, and so was the hotel. The bath towels were pretty cheap. The room was quiet, but we could hear people in other rooms. I was annoyed at the $10 parking fee. I grew up when this location was a mall surrounded by parking. The parking lot is a surface lot attached to the hotel and there is no reason to pay to park there other than additional revenue for the hotel. If you drive a little north in the lot and stay on a Saturday or Sunday, you can park for free. Those spots are permit required M-F. The staff was nice. The neighborhood is safe, but pretty much surrounded by multilevel parking lots, a huge hospital, which is within walking distance if that is your destination, and office complexes and businesses.

Need for improvement Good: The room was clean and modern (hotel appears to be going through an upgrade) Needs improvement: Note that parking is $10.00 per day. I missed in on their web site. The klunky part is that they can't add it to your room total - you are required to use a phone app, enter your license plate number (in my case, I had to walk out to the parking lot as I don't know my plate number), add your credit card number, etc. After going through this process, you get a message on your phone "counting down" the 24 hours that you have remaining on your 24 hour parking clock. The hotel is located adjacent to a health care facility. Throughout the evening and while attempting to sleep, their helicopter was coming and going. I'm a fan of life flight, but not next to a hotel. Very small lobby and breakfast area - hardly enough space to accommodate their guest population. We finally left and found breakfast elsewhere.
