Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix Airport South

Not safe at all! Care about yourself and yours more than they do This is an unsafe property. My car was broken into and a lot of things were taken from my trunk. 2 moving boxes, 2 suitcases…. A lot of money was in them.. but it’s my memory of them that matters. I was moving to Phoenix. The burglar lives across the street. My “find me” on my AirPods is on. I’m sure there are staff that know this person as they seemed very disinterested in knowing my police report # and the location of things. Speaking to them it seems like a common occurrence. The customer service manger was specifically rude. He went out of his way to be short and catty. Nice work. The management and owners do not care about your things… They know the neighborhood. They know this happens frequently… Yet still they do not do anything more to prevent it. I parked under cameras. The footage revealed that the guy walked around for sometime checking cars and walked my things to the back of property. No lights, no camera, no security. The team at the front desk told me it could take 2 days to get the surveillance camera footage. If something specifically occurs regularly that hurts the guest in any way and there is nothing that is done to fix it… then there is only 1 thing that can be surmised. The people who work at this property and owner of it do not care about you. Do not stay here. There are hiltons 5 minutes away with better neighborhoods and much better surveillance to ensure this doesn’t occur.

Great Place to Stay We stayed here 6 days. Our original room didn’t work as my spouse uses a wheelchair and can not stand/walk. They checked on us an hour after checking in to see if things were ok. The next day we were moved to a room that worked better. Everything was immaculately clean and all staff were friendly and accommodating. There’s a guest BBQ at the pool which we used. All utensils/dishes supplied. Breakfast provided is a wide variety and something for everyone. There’s also laundry service for $2 a load and they supplied laundry soap. Very quiet also considering proximity to the airport. Highly recommended!

A Wonderful Homewood Suites We stayed at the Homewood Suites the night before our flight. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived. We checked in, and the staff member couldn't have been more helpful. We asked about shuttle service to the airport and she booked it for us. Then we asked about the best way to get back to the hotel after we returned our rental car that evening. She happily gave us a card with the phone number and she said once you are at the rental return, call us and we will send the shuttle to pick you up and bring you back to the hotel. Now that is service. We took our bags up to the room before we returned the rental car, and it was a huge room, and we just had a studio suite. The room was immaculately clean, had a kitchen, a comfy sofa and everything we would need for the night. We slept great, not all hotels close to airports are quiet due to traveler's coming and going, But this hotel was so quiet. Breakfast in the morning was enough to get us going. The shuttle didn't start until 8 am and we needed to leave at 7:15 am. The manager talked to my husband as he checked out and apologized for the shuttle time, but advised him that he had ordered a Lyft car for us, and it was 3 minutes away. Again, service was excellent. The entire staff was friendly, helpful and did everything they could to make ones staff excellent. After our last stay at a Homewood Suites near Sacramento airport, we were quickly losing faith in Homewood Suites. But after our stay here, our faith has been restored. It has to do with the management, and this manager treated his staff well, talked to all the guests in the morning and did everything he could to take care of the guest. We highly recommend this Homewood Suites when in Phoenix.

Best hotel and staff EVER! I travel extensively and I have yet to find a hotel staff like this! From the moment I messaged the hotel on the Hilton app that I needed a first available room to check in that day because my husband was ill, Daisy was a tremendous help and a true ambassador for hospitality. Not only did she block my room on a high floor as requested for early arrival, she arranged our outgoing airport transportation for the next day (at the ungodly hour of 3am for a 5am flight!), as well as message us information to make our pickup easier at the rental car center at the airport that day. Octavio our van driver picked us up with very little wait and brought us to the hotel. Then the unimaginable happened…. My husband left his cell phone in the retuned rental car. I was frazzled after a long week of travel, and dealing with an ill husband, so Shannon and Kim at the front desk overheard me and jumped into action with a phone number to call Avis, and summoned Octavio to bring me back to the rental center. Not only did Octavio bring me back to the rental center, he waited for me while I frantically searched the car lot with the Avis staff for the car we rented. All said 30 minutes later we had the phone, and he was there for me with a smooth ride back to the hotel, and recommendations on dinner nearby. We’ll done! These kind gestures will never be forgotten! Thank you all!!

Great for families Mr. Shannon at the front desk was welcoming and knowledgeable. Breakfast was hot and delicious. The room was immaculate. Mattresses were comfortable. The location was ideal for us—14 minutes from the Phoenix zoo and close to the airport.
