Worst Hotel / Resort Stay in a While Where to start: 1. $300 "security" deposit upon check-in, which covers just about every item in the room which sports decor from the 90s. This is an egregious practice that needs to die or be included in the price of the stay AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. $300 is a LOT of money for most people, so making up some BS "security deposit" for shoddy rooms with dated appliances is absolute insanity. 1a. Protip: Not just for this place, but any hotel / vacation rental you stay at, be sure to get a quick video when you arrive. That way, any disputes are EASILY resolvable. 2. Apparently you're going to be hard sold on sitting through a timeshare presentation. No, I'm not kidding. After thinking I checked in at the front desk, I was whirred to another station for something (a pamphlet with ads was handed to me), then a THIRD station for a hard sale. I declined. Several times while just wanting to get out of there. 3. Paper-thin walls. What I thought was just a staple of cheapo Texas and North Carolina has found it's way to Tempe Arizona and the faux luxury it beholds. I'm currently enjoying whatever thump-fest the folks nextdoor and their kids are deciding to throw at 9:00pm on a Sunday night. Maybe they're making food and slamming each kitchenette door closed? 3a. Can also feel them walking. 4. The off-season view of the golf course from my "gold course" view room is mostly trees. 5. No complementary food service / drinks. I'm not even sure about free coffee, though the room has the customary two satchels of regular and one decaf that no one ever wants. Overall, I'm spending a few days here and this is a significant downgrade from the first hotel I stayed at in Arizona (Drury Inn & Suites Happy Valley Phoenix). Dated decor, thin walls, no real scenery. If anything changes during my stay, I'll update this review, but I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Never again. Time share guy is obnoxious and Garrulous The bathroom stunk and when I opened the door to take a shower, I realized the stench was coming from the drain. Whole room needs upgrading. Could hear lots of noises all night long and doors slamming. Very disappointed. Sales team is obnoxious.
