WHAT AN EXCELLENT STAF AND HOTEL We stayed at the Sheraton Crescent for the first time on Sunday, July 4th, 2021. First of all, I would like to say a big “Thank You” to the front desk staff especially Vanelli and the front desk manager on duty, Traci. When I got there to check in, Vanelli welcomed me with a big smile. Very courteous, respectful, attentive to my needs and, offered a great customer service. We had a little situation with our room when we got there. We called Front desk and they responded with a great attitude. When we checked out the following morning, we met Traci Lopez, the front desk manager on duty. She asked About our stay. She made sure we would return to visit next time by making things right. Thank you Vanelli for being a great representative of Marriot hotels. Thank you Staci for being a top notch manager and thank you all at the front desk for a great service. We plan to be back.

Decent place for a quick overnight Check in was easy. The lady who checked us in could not have been nicer or more pleasant. She is an asset to this hotel. As Gold Elite I usually get water or something when I check in but nothing this time. This was a quick stay ok our way to the Grand Canyon. We arrived late after our flight being delayed so didn’t check in until almost 9PM. We didn’t experience much of the hotel other than the room. Pros: Beds were comfy, AC worked well, new smart TV so we could easily stream Netflix. Cons: Carpet was sticky in many places. Rooms are older and showing wear. Water pressure in the shower was almost non existent and the lighting in the bathroom was about the same. Not a horrible experience and it serves the purpose of needing a place to sleep for a quick overnight.

Would not stay here again This was not a good experience. Given that the hotel was not busy (and that I am a Marriott Bonvoy patron) I was very disappointed that I was given a room with a view of the parking garage roof and a vacant lot. The lanai was dirty. Also, the shower faucet was installed upside down and made it almost impossible to adjust the shower temperature - either cold or burning. The bathroom outlet was so old that I couldn't get the hairdryer or my curling iron to stay plugged in - they literally fell out of the outlet. We are at the end of Covid but the front desk personnel had large tables in front of their working stations making a person stand rather far from the desk (they ALSO had plastic partitions). It was just not welcoming. Finally, the hotel is located in a bad part of town and I was worried about my car being tampered with or broken into. Do not recommend. However, this is a shame because I could tell that the building and grounds were once very nice.

Dirty and outdated The carpet in the hallways, very dirty. Elevators are dirty. Rooms are outdated and cobwebs. They upgraded us to a room with a balcony overlooking the pool. Door to balcony would only open about 6”. Therefore, couldn’t get out to the balcony. No furniture on balcony. The neighborhood is not the best. People approaching us asking for money. The pictures on the website looked good. Don’t be fooled.

In need of a update!! I always stick to Marriott properties when traveling and Phoenix gives you a wide range of inexpensive to five stars. This property is in dire need of a refresh. Rooms are average and do show signs of wear. Overall property has seen better days. Maybe with the future light rail extension at its front door the Sheraton can be brought up to the new standards set by the Downtown location. Overall a great location and plenty of garage parking.
