Clean and safe It was a great bang for my buck! The rooms were updated, clean and spacious. I appreciated the mini kitchenette space, desk area, mini living room and 2 TV’s. Plus the free take away breakfast was a bonus that included hot and cold options. The front desk also felt safe with plexi glass and mandatory mask wearing (however I was disappointed to see some guests not adhering to their recommendations). They also had 2 disposable disinfecting wipes in the room which was nice to see because I always bring my own. This was a quick overnight stay but very convenient to downtown with free, easy parking.

Noisy The staff was very nice. I stayed on the sixth floor, and there was sufficient street noise that I had to sleep with white noise on to drown it out. Plus the AC made a high-pitched humming noise. The breakfast was kind of sad, though they were trying to have a hot breakfast. At least have some cereal to go with the milk, though, and maybe some fruit. But just dealing with the noise issues would raise this property to a four. PS there is a small but adequate pool, but you need to make reservations, I had it to myself.

Motel-like room We chose this hotel because it is as close as you can get (around 2 miles) to the rental car center of the airport. It is actually closer to the rental car center than some of the airport hotels. We had an early morning flight and wanted to make sure that we have enough time to drop off the car and take a shuttle to the airport. We were surprised that this hotel does not charge for parking as most other downtown hotels do, but when we got there we realized that the hotel is in the outskirts of downtown Phoenix. If you were to walk a couple of blocks away from the downtown you would be in a shady area. The lobby is fine, due to Covid you cannot sit in the lobby. There was coffee and water in the lobby. However, the room needs to be updated. The air conditioning unit is old, the bathroom has a noisy fan, the carpeting has seen better days. It was nice to have a small refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Perhaps I got spoiled by staying at newer SpringHill suites, but this one has seen better days. Breakfast is served starting at 6:30 am. There was eggs and potatoes, milk, OJ, cranberry juice, muffins and yogurt. That’s it. The egg mixture and potatoes that were served were tasteless to me and there was no salsa offered to make them taste better.

I Highly Recommend Stayed while handling family business in Phoenix. The number one positive was that the hotel had taken prudent measures vis-a-vis the Covid pandemic. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Lobby was restricted. Breakfasts were by order, and given in a sealed box, rather than with multiple-use plates and silverware. The hotel does have a good central location, but my primary objectives were comfort and health measures, and I give this hotel kudos on both.

Poor customer service Poor customer service, this hotel was chosen over a few other choices for a few reasons. One of my big ones was the pool use and whether I had to “reserve” our time slot or if it was open as long as max amount of people wasn’t reached. When I called the Saturday before the trip and before booking the lady on the phone informed me the pool had a max of 10 people but checking in was not needed. But for the gym it was(which makes sense it’s inclosed and a small room). after speaking with corporate and management (Bianca) I was informed “no one told you that when you booked as you didn’t book directly through us.” Well thanks for calling me a liar but I had called prior to booking and have proof of the phone call. I also was told by check in I only had to check in for gym and pool was restricted to 10. I heard that night after getting out of pool she thought I had to sign up for the pool. So the next morning I confirmed with the front desk and was told, no need to check in for pool but if there are more than 10 people in you cannot use it. I said okay. Then the rude manager sitting doing a puzzle that night copped an attitude because I didn’t check in. The same lady who told me, no guy works the front desk that would have been maintenance(yea he wasn’t and he worked the next day!) I told her I had been told on 3 separate occasions I didn’t need to. I would never recommend this place due to their poor customer service, being unorganized, rude, and for calling me a liar when the gentleman who confirmed it, confirmed the next day that he had told me that.
