Peaked in the Seventies - Beware It's been a long time since I have seen a hotel with double beds. Hard a s a rock and bowed in the middle they provided nothing in the way of comfort for sleeping. The pillows felt like a pillow case full of old socks. But wait there's more. Granted it was a sweltering weekend however the air conditioning could only get the room down the high 70s. The room windows have a white substance smeared on them much like what you would see on an abandoned storefront. So we really didn't open the curtains. The toilet would only flush if the handle was held down until the water cycle downward, but it still took three flushes to clear the bowl. No maid service whatsoever on multiple night stays. Good luck with those wet shower towels in a warm, humid room. The pool water had an ominous green tinge to it. The central hall and breakfast area had no evidence of air conditioning as well. Two "Boardrooms" for meetings. One actually had air conditioning, the second look like a scene from "Hoarders" but was unlocked and available. The ice machine leaked water into a bucket just outside our room. Drip, drip, drip..... Oh and the abandoned school bus with almost all the windows broken out in the parking lot added a nice touch to the overall ambience of the hotel. A nice play place for the kids. At over $130 per night the place should be charged with imitating a hotel. They were very proud of their bar though. Karaoke on Saturdays! Nestled between the on ramp of 28 North and the Allegheny River I spent a lot of time trying to figure out if the hotel had been actually flooded at some point which would explain the general state of disrepair - although it didn't look possible. All I can say is "Just don't" - the place must have been something before electricity.

Do not stay here this location is the absolute worst I stayed at this location for a family members wedding and the amount of disrespect my cousin had got from this location is ridiculous the cleanness of the room was horrible I had to reclean the room my self there was mold in the restroom the door was broken only God knows what was in the ice bucket disgusting never got actual service the days we there even when the night before I would go and asked them nicely if they can service the four rooms and each time the young man would write it on a paper and say he will give it to housekeeping. Housekeeping only came once the day before we were checking out walks in as we were changing to get ready for the pool and just asked for trash and dirty towels not once saying sorry or we are here to clean the room just got the trash and towels and walked right back out I my self work in the hospitality industry and I would be embarrassed to call this my workplace with the amount of disgust I have for this place the only reason I stayed was for my family

Weekend Visit To Pittsburgh Let me begin by saying that the front desk personnel and staff members that we encountered were very pleasant and professional. Over the years, I have stayed at many Choice Hotels and this hotel is one of the most disappointing. The lobby and breakfast area are fairly nice but the rooms we were in were very sad, badly in need of some serious cleaning and updating. The door locks are almost inoperable and there is a lot of highway noise. Also, most of the hotel was occupied by guests participating in a weekend-long pool tournament hosted at the facility. We didn’t have any specific issues with the pool players except that groups of them were congregated at the main entrance, smoking and leaving cigarette butts, each time we entered or exited. The hotel is located in a sort of business park area so there didn’t appear to be any eateries or gas stations nearby. However, the hotel does have a bar and restaurant on site.

Will never book from a Choice Hotel again Was going to be in Pittsburgh the weekend of the Taylor Swift concert. Made a reservation directly with this hotel's website over 3 months before the stay. and paid in advance the full amount. Called to verify reservation a week after making it (to ensure it made it through the system) and then again a week before the event. Called the day of to state I would be a late arrival and to not "No Show" me. I was assured at every communication that there was no issues. When I walked in the front door, the attendant rudely said to "turn around, I have no availability." I explained that I had a reservation and he said "doesn't matter, every room has a body in it - we oversold" and also "you shouldn't use sites like Expedia" (which I did not). I asked if he could check to see if they checked me in when I called, which he did and I was not. He explained that I was refunded do to the overbooking. I asked for the manager to contact me on his next shift. I called back on Tuesday (no refund) and was told that it could take 5 days. Called back on Thursday, to which the person did not understand WHY they would refund me - and when I explained AGAIN why and that I would go to corporate, they said they would process it. When I still did not have it the following week, I called the parent company's customer service number and was told that they did No Show me and the refund was processed after my last call (which could take 5-10 business days). So, to me, that says that: 1.) they were planning on keeping my money if I did not continue to call them back. 2.) that the manager just doesn't care about customer support, since I still have never received a phone call. My recommendation would be to not rent from this place and this experience has removed any chance I will ever stay at any of this chain's brands again.
