Great stay in the heart of steel city Visiting colleges in the area with our kids. We stayed one night at the Westin downtown. The area was clean, quiet and friendly. Hotel staff was pleasant and our rooms were clean, modern and quiet. The elevators were speedy and clean as well. Walking distance to restaurants, stores and desert shops made the stay even more convenient.

Very very disappointing Heads up, this property seems very poorly managed. There’s a lot of right hand left hand disconnect. Some of this is likely due to the pandemic and many junior staff 1) if you are a Marriott members of platinum or above there’s no breakfast on weekends During the weeks there’s nothing The staff doesn’t differentiate between welcome amenity and your breakfast, as with most properties there’s no lounge and it’s wildly inconvenient to have a property located next to the convention center that doesn’t have breakfast or dinner last 8 pm 2) The parking also, on weekends there’s a valet During the week, nothing and it’s a mess, doesn’t seem at all safe for female business travelers Self park leads you to one of the worst designed parking decks with no signs to direct you to the elevators or where you should park Staff appears rather nonplussed if you try to give Feedback (I suspect they didn’t care) Unless you are attending a convention And those don’t exist yet Find somewhere else to stay 3) they don’t mention this but there’s no maid service. So make your own bed and if you need water The front desk doesn’t have any But you can purchase some in their grab and go store And if you do decide to book this property despite the above warnings, your GPS using only the address will take you to exit 78B which is a pretty rough part of town So input to your gps “the convention center” to save you the extra 22 miles you’ll go out of your way (11 miles each way) because the Marriott app doesn’t include zip codes

Wedding party I like the parking garage because it’s easy to get in and out. Numbered spaces make it easy to find your car. Room 1207 was spacious with 2 beds, desk, fridge and chair-sitting area. Beds were comfortable and had nice linens. Nice view of the city. Starbucks coffee in the room. Bathroom is a little dated with a low countertop so you have to lean over to brush your teeth. Shower was more up graded with rain shower head and hand held sprayer. Nice to have choices. Water pressure is ok. Bath towels were hard and cheap and felt like a bit like loofah. I expect a little nicer towels in a $300 room

Nice place, helpful staff This is a nice hotel in a very convenient location. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Rooms were clean and fairly spacious. The staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions for dining.

Great Staff!! This was our first stay at the Westin Pittsburgh. The staff was very friendly and super accommodating, especially, Jessica, Eric and Ally. We are Marriott Titanium Members and we were upgraded to a very nice suite. We also had a great buffet breakfast the next morning. The staff at breakfast were also very friendly and provided us with great service. We would definitely stay at this property again!
