This hotel is closed We have stayed at the Residence Inn in Plainview every August for the past 4 years. Tried to make a reservation for this coming August and found out that the hotel is closed and will no longer be associated with Marriott. Our room was always clean, the staff was very courteous, not sure what happened. ☹️

Outstanding customer service! I stayed at the hotel while attending a conference. When I spoke to the manager about an issue with the room I was assigned, she immediately attended to the issue and went overboard to accommodate me by switching my room. I am so grateful to her!

Good for our visit to Long Island We were visiting a friend on Long Island and needed a place close to her. This was about 4 miles from her house. From there it was only a mile to the LIRR train station where we could catch the train into the city. The property is kind of tucked into a residential area just off of Highway 135 freeway. Very quiet and I think it is about a block from the hospital. We had a NS, King studio room. Has a full fridge, microwave, 2 burner stovetop and dishwasher. Also dishes and cutlery. Well kept and clean. Small bathroom with not much counter space. Sofa bed in the living space and a decent computer desk. I thought all the rooms in the hotel came with an in room safe but this room did not have one. Apparently others do. They did have safety deposit boxes at the front desk an this was my first experience with them. They gave me one big enough for my lap top and other stuff. Works like a bank, you have a key an they have a key....both necessary to open the box. There is a restaurant on the property but only open Friday to Sunday although they have a lounge area that has a limited menu with drinks. They also have a complimentary buffet dinner Monday to Thursday with beer and wine included. Complimentary buffet breakfast everyday. On sight free parking. The Long Island Expressway is only about 4 miles away which was good when we wanted to go east to explore Long Island. The place was expensive by my standards but I had reward points and used them so the value was really good for me. Just look at the prices on line to see if its in your budget. We'd stay here again if in the area.

Comfortable stay This is my second visit to New York and I stayed in same hotel. Hotel is bit old but rooms are well maintained with comfortable bed. Staff is very accommodative and responsive. Hotel is mostly fully booked most of the year. Breakfast is decent with viable amenities 24*7. Would prefer to stay again

In desperate need of a remodel I stayed a weekend in late August. The plus was that the room was huge. The cons: the room was old. I mean very old. There was zero parking. I had to park at the hospital down the road. Also, the staff wasn’t at friendly as other Marriotts I have stayed at.
