Unwelcoming Everything about my stay was great except an employee and her passive aggressive attitude. Sondra checked me in and gave great service but when she checked in the gay couple after me I noticed a change in attitude and customer service, as a member of the lgbt Community myself I know in future I will stay somewhere where me and my partner will be accepted and treated to the same service as anyone else.

Polite and welcoming staff, moldy dirty rooms Booked a week's stay at Residence Inn, as I wanted a place big enough for my family and with a kitchen to save some money of food costs while traveling. I left after the first night. Checking in was a fine experience as the front desk receptionist was warm and polite, even through the safety mandated plexiglass that is ubiquitous in this time of pandemic. That was the high point of the hotel. The carpet in the room felt grody, the door weather seal was peeling away, the couch had some mystery stains that looked suspicious, and AC was incredibly loud (and since I drive an old diesel truck for work, I'm used to tuning out loud droning noises), and the tub had mold on the shower curtains and in the corners, and pubes in the drain. I did not give the hotel a chance to "make it right", as I suspected all the rooms would have a similar lack of deep cleaning that I'd expect during a pandemic, and any new room would simply have a surface treatment.

Good location but bad experience. With the traveling I do, I prefer the “home like” feeling that the Residence Inn gives. Even though it was a little out of the way, I chose this location for its proximity to the highway and it’s high rating I saw. It’s also, sadly, probably the last time I stay there. Check in was very easy, and I was given a room in the next building over from the front desk. The bed was very soft, everything inside the room worked, and I was happy with the television and the WiFi. That’s where everything good ends. The next morning, I stepped out of the room, and the overpowering odor of burnt marijuana hung in the hallway, and in the entry doorway, to the point where I was getting a significant headache from smelling it. A phone call to the front desk resulted in nothing (so it seemed) being done, so I went over to the front desk and reported the odor a second time. The young lady did go to investigate it, but the third employee said nothing could be done about the situation. (The second employee did indeed smell the burnt marijuana odor) Also, there were several bags of garbage in the hallway outside another room, which appeared from a resident having a party. Between the marijuana stench and the bags of garbage outside the other guest’s room, it really wasn’t worth the room rate I paid for the room. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

Travelling in a large group on tournament The hotel is slightly above average. Their rooms were neat but they have several small buildings on the property. Several families went as a team, but we were all separated in different buildings. It would have been nice to group us together. They have free breakfast buffet in the morning with some food choices like cereal, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, waffles, yogurt and fruit. They only stay open until 9am on weekdays and 10am on weekends, so you can’t sleep too late or you’ll miss it!! They have a basketball court, a gym, a pool and a fire pit to sit near. Overall decent hotel.

Old, noisy, and plumbing issues This is not what I was expecting based on the reviews. The hotel is made up of several separate buildings, so you check in and then possibly need to walk/drive your luggage to your room. As it turns out, my building was having plumbing work done. There were massive tanks (water heaters?) just sitting outside the entrance. The floor was terribly dirty. In the room the water was off and on and then sputtering that evening. On top of that the inside is somewhat run down. The fridge made a ton off noise all day and night. Just not very enjoyable.
