Americas Best Value Inn Port Jefferson Station Long Island

Adequate, not enjoyable 6/7-6/8. We wanted a place near the Port Jefferson ferry, as we had an early boat to catch. The motel next to the ferry was full, and this was the next closest. Pluses: Comfortable king-size bed, refrigerator, microwave, land line, no comforter, quiet, clean, good-sized room. Minuses: Hard, lumpy floor, as if the carpet had been laid over broken concrete. The inside of the microwave had dried food residue, so we didn’t use it. No reading lamp on one bedside table, and the shade on the other was torn. The TV remote turned on the cable box but not the TV; when I turned in the TV manually, it was set to the wrong input (HDMI 2) and couldn’t be changed either by hand or the remote. The fan on the HVAC unit couldn’t be switched off Automatic, so it cycled on and off all night. No bath mat, towels rather small. The wi-fi didn’t work at first—a call to tech support (on the land line, couldn’t get a mobile signal) fixed it—but it was intermittent all evening. The bed spread, which doubled as the blanket, had numerous rips and tears in it, and reminded me of a moving van blanket. Only three rather small pillows on the bed. Overall: Adequate, not enjoyable. As a couple, we would not stay here again.

HORRIFIC I booked a room here because every other hotel on long islands was fully booked. I got not one blink of sleep. Place is filled with druggies up all hours of the night. Person next door was blasting their music, doors being slammed all night long, lots of noisy unnecessary traffic. My room had finger prints on the bed frame (board) the sink hardly turned on, sheets were all worn out. Definitely not a hotel to stay at unless you are into drugs, loud music, and being kept awake all night long

EXCELLENT STAY Very neat and clean parking lot Very close to port jeff ferry. Basic rooms with no frills. budget friendly motel. I have to use ferry to CT. Very convenient . many restaurants nearby dunkin donuts next door

Excellent service! The room was very clean with enough towels and hot water! Very close everything in Port Jefferson! The attention was excellent, we felt very welcome! We left something in the room and they didn’t have problem in help us

Do not stay there Place looks better in pictures, front desk person was so rude, tried to check in at 1:30 could not was told to come back at 3. This was okay but when i came back the guy was rude. The only good thing is that i was able to cancel because the guy was rude and i called him on it. Pay 100 more to stay at a really nice place.
