Nordic Inn & Suites

Very Noisy The motel is very noisy if you are looking for a quiet place. It's next to the train track so Expect often loud train passing noice. Also the wall is paper thin. I can hear clearly the conversation of the next room. and moaning, spitting, water running pipe sound. I am surprised how high rating it is. Not sure why.

All positives for this place Loved the place. I will list some of the positives...good parking... good location... AC worked fine... fridge and microwave... good vanity... fair price... bath accessories and nice bathroom... has a table and chairs... large room...easy check-in... and lighting good enough. I really don't have any negatives. This was a very nice place to stay.

Clean and spacious, great value This motel exceeded all our expectations. Most of all, this was the cleanest hotel room we've ever stayed in. Our room had two queens in separate rooms. Great price, would definitely come back to the Nordic Inn. The staff was friendly and the location was convenient.

Nice room but they charge a security deposit The room was nice. We had a room furthest from the street so it was nice and quiet. The parking spot we chose was next to a landscaped area and the sprinkler went on during the night and totally drenched our dune buggy. Thankfully we had covered it with a tarp or the entire interior would have been soaked. Also, they charge a $100 security deposit when you check in which isn’t refunded until after housekeeping checks the room after you leave.

Safe Budget Option The Nordic Inn is a good value if you are visiting Portland and not spending much time in the hotel. The rooms are fairly simple, but modern and well furnished. The property and rooms are kept clean. I give them bonus points for daily housekeeping service. It seems a lot of hotels dropped this for no reason over the pandemic, so it is nice to find a budget hotel that still does full housekeeping service every day. In terms of location, it is on the outskirts of town by the airport. This could be a good or bad thing depending on what you want. I thought it was good because you do not have to deal with the riffraff that is associated with Portland. I never felt like my car was in danger here. It does mean, however, that you will not be able to rely on public transportation without driving to it first. This is a very solid hotel option in a city where you often don't know what you are fully getting into.
