A Beautiful Respite We were upgraded to a riverfront cottage b/c the hvac was having issues. It was beautiful - the decor, the massive space, fireplace with logs and the terrific view of the dock, boats, & sidewalk areas! We appreciated the lovely hidden power access in the nightstands and everthing necessary in the full-sized kitchen, especially the full-sized coffee pot! Our little dog even chose the hotel doggy bed over her own, haha. Maybe it was the biscuits left for her. Just lovely, we wished we could have stayed longer. Love the Kimptons!

Would come again! Came here on business. Was Prearranged by my host. Check in was super easy even with a late almost midnight arrival. Hostess was fantastic. My stay was very short and I could not enjoy some of the amenities. However, there was a false rate of complimentary offerings, including a happy hour themed around oktoberfest with drinks and food offered by the kitchen chef. The rooms were tastefully decorated, very large king bed, modern. The only upgrade I would suggest is more u. SB/charging outlets by the bed As most people these days travel with multiple devices. Bathroom was spacious. Everything was super clean. I even got a text from the front desk upon my entry into the room. Asking how things were making out. Very nice touch. Would definitely come here again if given the opportunity

Great team, beautiful location. The can do attitude and kindness of the entire staff especially the bell and valley team was outstanding. We want to give a special shout out to Os and to Anthony for their help navigating checking in with a sleeping 7 year old, locating misplaced items and setting our daughter up with a scooter for the exploring Portland for the day. The team made our stay in Portland easy and comfortable, the way you want travel to be.

Kimpton Hotel entrance off the busy streets of Portland a little slice of Calm & Respite Oz & Doug at Valet & Bell Services were very considerate & attentive with Check-In smooth and our Room was Delightful we will definitely return to this Portland location. We enjoy the view of the Willamette River & had a graceful meal with our Yellow Labrador - Penner Palouse on the patio watching the flow of Pedestrian traffic & Canadian Geese!

Lovely hotel in downtown Portland We stayed at the Kimpton River Place hotel for 4 nights and were very pleased with the hotel staff and our room after a brief issue. We called ahead to request a cold refrigerator for our room since my husband needed to cool an ice pack for a knee injury. I spoke to the manager, Adam prior to our visit and was told that this could be arranged. We were very appreciative. We also called early on the morning of our arrival to ask if we could have an early check in. Again, a staff member told us that this could be arranged, So far, all is great. When we arrived at the hotel, all staff that we met were so helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately, we entered our hotel room to find a dirty bathroom and fridge. We immediately contact Lily at the front desk. She apologized and immediately provided anther room that was clean, with a clean cold fridge with no issues. In fact the room was very comfortable and the bed /mattress was wonderful. We had a delicious breakfast in the hotel restaurant every morning (King Tide Fish & Shell Restaurant) and ate a delicious dinner there one night too. Restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. The location is perfect for a walk around the river. There are a few stores and restaurants within a very short walk. We especially enjoyed the Portland Saturday Market which is an easy walk and has an amazing array of arts and crafts. Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel staff, cleanliness of our second room and the entire hotel. A lovely place to stay in the downtown Portland area.
