Best time ever Amazing time. The Spa was fantastic! What a lovely evening. Will definitely visit again!! The infinity pool was Devine. We felt like we were abroad. Drinks in the pool was an added bonus. This is the best spa I have ever visited. Can’t think of anything I didn’t enjoy.

Dreadful afternoon tea and customer service I went to Shrigley Hall for afternoon tea with my niece, she had bought me a voucher directly from Shrigley Hall as a gift for me. We have been several times in the past and always enjoyed it, however, they seem to have cut back so much that it didn't even come up to the standard that we expected. On arrival we went straight to the restaurant and one member of staff was going somewhere, she didn't ask what I was there for but snapped, "I will be back shortly and to wait" as she was walking towards me she said "are you here for afternoon tea?" When I replied yes she said "wait over there" pointing to a stand. When the afternoon tea arrived, we were both so shocked at the standard. The sandwiches were tasteless, there was wafer thin ham, tuna and egg, the scones came with one blob of cream on the plate rather than in a pot and the jam was not in pots but were the cheap small plastic containers, the cakes were also disappointing, there was a small shortbread biscuit, a small thing I presumed was rocky Road? And a small square of Victoria sandwich. I was shocked to see a metal teapot which was filthy with stains and the bud vase on the table was absolutely full of mould and green water. We didn't want to cause a fuss in the restaurant as the waitresses were so young and it's not their fault, we went to reception but they were so busy with people checking in and a wedding. My niece has e mailed Shrigley Hall twice and both times was told they would pass it on and she would get a reply, both times their was no reply. I have never written a review like this but feel that we have been reasonable and very patient so have had no alternative but to leave thus review

Great location- Cleanliness is awful We stayed here on the 29th and 30th of May 2025. We bought a voucher via Virgin Experience Days. This review isn't for any other reason than to give an insight into what to expect when you stay here. Positives Location - it's beautiful, fantastic views. Golf Course - if you're having a golfing break, then you can't go much wrong than here, the course looked amazing. Worth pointing out I didn't play any golf, and equally, I cannot offer up an opinion on the Spar. Breakfast was OK. Peacocks - (Birds) really friendly and great to see, but boy do they make a racket, usually first thing in the morning. Negatives Rooms - man, they were REALLY POORLY cleaned (see the pics). Rooms can be poor, but in my opinion, there are no excuses for just how bad they are. Exposed Electrical fuse box Richard (house keeping) supervisor did his best to deal with our complaint, but don't expect any sympathy from management. The staff/ service is what you would expect. They are friendly and helpful. I wouldn't personally stay here again until the standard improves. The hotel may point to a refurbishment of the rooms taking place - this is much needed, but if the cleanliness doesn't improve vastly - what's the point?

A lovely birthday spa! Lovely hotel and spa facilities. A wonderful birthday treat from family. The staff were all very helpful and attentive and the rooms were cleaned and in good condition. The treatments in the spa were good quality and I left feeling very relaxed.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed in... If you could give zero stars I would have done. A 4* hotel? Don't make me laugh. The rooms are cleaned every THREE days. Yes, you read that right. The bins are not emptied, no clean towels, toilets left as they are. Don't believe me? Ring the hotel and ask. They actually have the front to admit it to guests who complain. Mind completely blown. The duty manager would not even offer a free drink or any form of compensation. His attitude stank and it was obvious his staff were very wary of him. Just avoid if you want luxury, Premier Inn is way ahead of this hole. PS, did I mention it's £50 just to use the swimming pool. Seriously...
