Disgusting, Unpleasant Experience My family and I stayed at the Residence Inn in August 2021, and we were very disappointed in our experience. There is an absolute failure in housekeeping and lack of hot breakfast service. My family and I stayed in a very spacious suite that seemed clean at first. When we went into the bathroom, there was a pile of hair stuck onto the shower wall and their was a black stain inside the toilet. When we opened the freezer, there was still the leftover ice cream left by the precious guest. While we understand there is a shortage of housekeeping staff due to covid, this is an extreme. The details that I mentioned are obvious fixes, and the fact that those items were missed makes me worry that this room was not cleaned at all. There was also no hot breakfast service. From my understanding, it is a requirement for hotel brands to return the hot breakfast by July 1, and that is yet to return. Very disappointed.

Nice, but old property with low ceilings The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. It was nice to have a kitchen. The appliances worked and there were enough kitchen items to cook. The main things that we did not like have to do with how old the building is and the way it was made. The ceilings are lower than newer places, I think 8 feet. This made the room feel stuffy at night. The room was clean and comfortable but not fancy of course. The a/c was fairly quiet because it came from vents in the ceiling, but this meant that the whole place is on one unit and it shut off at midnight and didn't start up again until sometime later in the morning. The thermostat must be pretend. If you are used to sleeping cold, like we are it makes it hard to sleep well. The walls and ceiling are thin and you can hear the people above you walking around. I even heard and understood the words of a song a child was singing in the room above. We slept with earplugs and the noise while sleeping was okay, but if you had really loud people above you it would be a real problem! The road noise was loud through the walls too, since we had a room right on the road. When we checked in the front desk lady told us that breakfast was from 7-9, but failed to mention that it was a brown lunch bag with a choice of boiled eggs, a bagel or a muffin with an apple or granola bar. Another guest was irritated that they got up early to make it to the breakfast and it was bagged. Other covid restrictions are that you have to reserve a time to use the gym or pool and only one person or group can use it, so I was not able to use the gym. I feel that at this point in late April 2021 with the case count so low in Utah that they could ease up on the facility restrictions and serve a hot breakfast. We were given a handicapped room without requesting one which was not a problem, but if we were truly handicapped it would not have worked. There was one grab bar on the wall for getting into the shower with a low step in height, but there was nothing by the toilet at all. Also they said because of covid that there was maid service only every 7 days. We were only there 2 nights and asked for towels, but I feel like it is kind of becoming an excuse to not give good service and just a way to save money. The room was only $119 a night, so the price was good, that was probably because of covid also.

Ski trip I went to Provo for a ski trip and had a great stay. My room was clean, and I loved having the kitchenette. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff. They made sure to go out of their way making sure I was taken care of. I can’t wait to go back!!

Avoid! Covid stays here. About 75% of customers inside public space of the hotel not wearing masks. Staff didn’t ask customers to mask, including during check in. Room was semi-clean. Many dishes in cabinet weren’t clean. Icky without covid, worse now.
