BW HOTEL HOHER FRESCHEN

New Year 2023/24 We visited as part of a Leger coach tour. The owner and his son both went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely stay. The rooms were of a very high standard and the bathrooms were stunning. As we were part of a group, we didn't get chance to choose from the menu but from what we saw the food looked amazing and plentiful. Our food was good but we had no choice and there wasn't much on the plate. The New Year's Eve gala dinner was 6 courses and it was lovely. Really hope to visit here again.

I personally would not book it for my vacation Admittedly one must not expect much for the rates they are asking for. Yet I found the rooms in ill repair and a rather low standard breakfast, so that I would say that even these low rates are too high . While an evening beer on the porch is nice, i personally will abstain from dinner after my first experience with their cook's culinary prowess

GREAT MODERN HOTEL BY THE TRAIN STATION Highly recommended. Staff is super friendly and English-speaking. Great bar and restaurant on site. Dinner was excellent. Outside patio bar is perfect for having a beer or lunch. Rooms are huge! Super modern bathroom with a giant rain shower head. Loved the decor. Bed is super comfy. Great location across the street from the train station. Good stopping-off point on your travels. Walking distance to city center also.

An outstanding hotel right next to the railway station and the town centre In the middle of the Rhine valley, between the spectacular Austrian and Swiss mountain ranges, lies this family-run hotel. It is like home from home, a cosy refuge after a long train journey. The staff are outstanding, the management are utterly professional, the rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced. Just cross the street outside the railway station, come rain or sunshine, and you are there. Believe me, that's a nice feeling after a long journey! In summer there is seating on the lovely terrace outside. There is a wide range of rooms, from traditional Austrian to very modern. There is free Internet, strong hot showers. The thing that I would rate highest about this hotel, is that it feels like being at home; it's the kind of place you'd really like to stay another night at, even though you know you have to move on. The hotel being near the railway, there might occasionally be a goods train passing through at night. It isn't loud and it never bothers me, the sound lulls me to sleep; but if you want total silence, choose a room in the modern wing or at the rear.

Very modern room The hotel from the outside looks old but the room I got looked completely renewed to a modern style, very clean, spacious bathroom and fast WiFi connection. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast included is Austrian standard. The only negative point was the restaurant at dinner time, food was lacking of spirit/presentation.
