Wonderful customer service! We arrived to check in at 2:45am, Phil was absolutely wonderful. Bright and chipper and great customer service. Later my husband went downstairs looking for bottled water but the machines were out. He asked Phil if he knew where we could get water at 3am and he took him back to the break room and gave him the water from his lunch!

Clean but seen better days Run down furniture, this hotel is not loved. Toiletries were the bare minimum, no conditioner, no body wash, no tub stopper. Showerhead could use a descaling. One of the beds had a comforter and the other only the decorative top sheet. Other than that, it was clean and we felt safe. Coffee was available in the lobby and the room. Vending machines on site, ice machine and guest laundry but no breakfast. Definitely needs some tlc, replace things that are damaged (like the toilet seat) or worn out (like the furniture)

What I'd expect from a drug house The young man working the desk was anything but approachable and welcoming. First he questioned my daughter that was with me as my reservations with 2 beds said 2 adults. I assured him she would be staying with family. He asked for my credit card which I dont sign them. I come from a huge town with 1,000s of identity thefts daily. I would have expected him to verify it with my ID but without being too confrontational he was pretty much going to refuse my card until I grabbed a pen and signed the card. None of my credit cards are signed. And I asked him if that was their policy and he didn't answer me. When I was filling out my paperwork/info I asked him if I could leave my plates blank as I didn't know them and call the office later to give to them. His response was he kind of needed it now. I scooted down to another counter to have my daughter run and get it so he could go about checking in others and told the people behind me he couldn't check them in as I couldn't be at the counter I was at. When we arrived the parking lot was being painted. I asked him if there was additional parking? He said no and gave me no alternatives or other options to park and unload. We had to go ask the gentleman painting what he recomended us to do. I get my keys and go directly to my room. When you first walk in everything seemed okay for the price but after being here a week I couldn't disagree more. We left after I dropped off our luggage to see family and I had to spray and wipe down all surfaces before we left. Best Western was double the price here and I should have chalked it up and left here to go there. It was dusty. There was garbage in the cracks of the chairs and under the beds. The bathtubs flooring looked so dirty and gross I was affraid to shower without sandals on. The tiles were cracked. The caulk job looks like a 3 year old completed it. The carpet going into the bathroom was frayed and separating. The paint was peeling from the ceiling. The entire hotel rooms floor was disgusting. My feet would stick to the carpet. As soon as you walk into the bathroom onto the floor towel mat it turned it brown. Don't walk on the floor without shoes your feet will turn dark. I pulled back the bedding on both beds. One looked like someone literally gave birth on it. They looked like they came out of a dumpster. They said the pool was open but everytime we tried to use the pool it was closed. They either blamed it on maintenance or they closed it because people weren't showering before entering. The front desk guy seemed rather obsessed over the pool and on a power trip. I use to be a manager at a Best Western and my husband was a manager at another property. Not once did we ever have to close the pool due to someone not showering. A few times the hot tub was was empty not able to be used. One morning I was woke up by the front desk banging on doors yelling front desk. The front desk guy told my husband he'd appreciate if guests wore masks due to his father passing from covid (our deepest sympathy) which is rather contradicting as there is no mask policy for the property. My requested no stay over room service due to covid. My husband would exchange towels and grab toilet paper when we needed to exchange. The day before we were set to leave they entered our room to switch out towels when we still had enough. If you want guests to be masked people entering rooms should be masked as well. Makes sense. The place was just ran down and gross. On 8/31 I checked my credit card charges. They charged me for $45 for damaged towels. I spoke with Miguel who told me he couldn't tell what was wrong with them as he's not the one who found them. He said what that meant was towels that came from our room were washed and left stained. When I told him there was literally $20 worth of towels he tried to tell me what towels were damaged. Doesn't make sense since there's no comments on my reservation just a charge and he didn't personally see them damaged. I recieved a receipt/folio via email that showed no extra charges but when I logged into my account the records showed the charges were later added shady if you ask me. Im really disappointed in choicehotels for having their chain even allow for this dump to be operating in this condition. And before the property has a rebuttal for my complaints it's not hard to make guests feel comfortable even if the place needs scrubbed and more professional staffing. It seems as the staff may live on the property. There's no dress code I guess. It's a little weird dealing with people that aren't wearing anything to show they are affiliated with Rodeway Inn. Also very odd for staff to be congregating by the
