Grand Sierra Resort and Casino

Horrible Horrible experience. Checked into a non smoking room that reeked of smoke. Second room had a filthy toilet and hair, etc on the nightstand and crumbs on the floor. Pool was murky so couldn’t swim. We used to love staying here. So sad. Never again

GSR Restaurants Grand Sierra Resort is one of the nicer places to stay in the greater Reno area. Request a room in the Vista tower if possible as they have recently been remodeled. The bar staff at the Rim Asian Bistro are top notch. Michelle and Sarah provided great service and menu recommendations!

Just Ok Hotel was decent. We traveled with our two kids 10 and 5! They enjoyed the pool and play structure inside Fun Quest. Love that they had a yogurt shop also. Now on to the room, We were first given a room on the 14th floor and first thought walking in, something seems off. I saw a banged up mini fridge just sitting out next to the big mirror and chair which its suppose to be a clear beverage cooler inside the cabinets or whatever it is called. That was the first thing I was like what the heck is this? It was all dented on the door and just a eye sore! Then I noticed the coffee maker had a crack with a missing piece on it and a chair missing a pillow, so I notify them to not get charged or anything! We left the room to get food and hang at the pool. Now it’s time to freshen up for bed. I was going to hop in the shower and when i looked up there was mold on the ceiling and tile grout. I messaged the concierge and they sent housekeeping to come look and try to just clean it off with spraying it and brushing it, but it was still there. They said it seem like black hair dye, but I pointed out the grout then they said oh yes thats mold.So they said I can go down and request a new room and thats what I did. We were moved to the room right above. Once we walked into that room you can definitely tell that the room we were in prior was not well cleaned and taken care of compared to the new room we were moved into, there was stuff the new room had that the old one didn't. So all in all it was just an average stay. Good to families with kids. Restaurants were ok ,but pricey. I probably wouldnt come back, it just wasn't for us.

Comfortable place to stay. The bed was comfortable and clean. lots of elevators so didn't have to wait long for one. Our fridge didn't work; we called and they brought up a replacement right away. There were several places to eat in the Resort so we never went hungry. If we needed assistance the people in kahki jackets were there to help on the main level..

Spectacular customer service The food and the hotel over all was amazing and very clean. Saimya’s dedication to customer satisfaction is obvious in every aspect of the service. It’s not just about feeding people, it’s about making them feel cared for. The experience feels more personal and heartfelt than typical food delivery. She is very caring and thoughtful when it comes to serving food and is very respectful to everyone around her.
