I liked my stay, except one thing... I liked my stay. Would have been better had my team won. Clean rooms, downtown location. Close to Jack's Restaurant. Great views of Reno, Nevada from the rooms. Next time I visit Reno, I'll need a hotel/motel with good wifi. Ramada Reno wifi sucked.

Average at best After reading some previous reviews I still wanted to give this hotel a chance. I try to be a "half-full" sort of guy but this experience was less than a quarter full. PROS: The staff were all very pleasant and that is what made me sad. I felt they were trapped in a bad situation by the hotel management and location. The diner in the casino served burgers w/fries that were tasty and with good proportions. It was pet friendly* Shower was hot and had good pressure The beds were comfy CONS: The attached casino was a haven for the homeless. (luckily a room keycard was needed to access the hotel from the casino) Morning coffee was unavailable because "we ran out of coffee" but they were bringing some hot water when they could get it, for tea to be made (??) The rooms were dated and in need of upgrading with some cleaning No refrigerator or microwave in room. TV was direct tv and about half channels were unavailable or had no signal *The pet area was dirt/rock and filthy. I would not let my wife take the dog for a walk there due to safety concerns with people from the street milling around.

Hotel doesn’t want loyal customers I stayed here for one night. I agree with the other reviews about the amount of homeless that are loitering around the neighborhood. It’s obvious this used to be a Holiday Inn that became tired and old and was probably kicked out of the brand with Ramada happily taking over. I have to say I was intrigued by the avocado green tile in the bathroom that dates to the early 70s. Overall, everything worked and was clean to my eye. (I didn’t look under the bed or behind the furniture for fear of what I might find.) What really bothered me is I’m a Wyndham Rewards Diamond member and I supposed to receive an amenities bag upon checkin. When it wasn’t offered, I asked the clerk about it and she had no clue what I was asking. I explained as a diamond member I am supposed to receive an amenities bag. She asked her coworker about and she said, “we used to give those out but [manager] Lisa stopped that about 4 months ago.” Huh, why irritate your most loyal customers by not properly training your employees and stocking the necessary goods. Why would I stay at this hotel again?

Solid choice Reasonably priced hotel near the city centre. Staff seemed nice. Very close to bus stops. Decor is outdated but I don’t mind that. I only popped into the casino once - it stank of cigarettes so I didn’t stay (note, no rucksacks allowed). I’d consider staying again.

Worth coming back for... Not all went perfect, but the overall stay was nice and the price certainly made up for the shortcomings. The shortcomings did not include lack of cleanliness or I would not give it 4 stars. I would recommend Windham, especially if you don't want your hotel bill to be the biggest expense of your trip. Here is how I see it: give me a clean bed and a clean shower for a good price and I will be happy, especially since I don't stay in a hotel to spend all my time there, it's just to shower and sleep. So, give them a try, I think you'll agree with me! Have a great trip!
