Disgusting Hotel, terrible experience Avoid this hotel at all costs. The rooms are extremely disgusting. This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in Rio de Janeiro and the photos lie about it's quality. I had to do an early checkout to change to another hotel.

Great location! A friend and I recently stayed here during carnaval and we had a great stay! The staff was very accommodating with us and helped us with the language barrier. My friends bag was lost and they helped us use the phone and contacting the airlines. The location is right on the beach where there are drink stands, shops, food, everything you need. We unexpectedly had to stay an extra night in Rio and we stayed at a hotel by the airport and they allowed us to use the pool and amenities since we had no where to go. I would recommend!

Really bad service I had booked a trip to Rio for my partners birthday in March 2019. Sitting back home with one hour to leave (Feb2020) and we received a phone call from our travel agent informing us that the hotel had double booked us and there are no more rooms available at the hotel. I find it extremely hard to believe that we where double booked nearly a year ago. The hotel Informed our travel agent that they could book us into another hotel 3 blocks back from the beach and it was a lower standard hotel. I advised that this was a special birthday trip and we booked a hotel on the beach for that reason. Also the reviews where terrible at the hotel they wanted to switch us to. In the end it was terrible service, we where not offered any other hotel on the beach as it was carnival time and they where all to expensive. We had to get a refund for the hotel and book our own ( costing way more than our original price) Be very careful when booking this place having flight to Rio is not ok if you don’t have the hotel at the other end. What was supposed to be a lovely holiday turned into the start of a nightmare. Thank god for the Rio Othon hotel!!

Copacabana! Positive: the location. You are in the center of life. The staff is helpful, the breakfast decent. Negative: only corpus A can pretend to be 4*. Corpus C where we lived was a modest 3*: small dark room with old furniture.

Cried when they cancelled 3 hours before check in !! We had booked this hotel in March 2019 as a treat hotel to relax after 7 weeks travelling prior to our return to uk. After finishing our last tour we rang to request early check in to be told room cancelled!!!!!! We had paid prior to arrival via our agency and this is just not acceptable day of the start of Rio carnival! We wasted 24 hours finding new hotel which was not up to standard . Then many e mails to agency to transfer us to better hotel out of city ! This experience has left an extremely upsetting end to our fantastic holiday . We are now in Santa Theresa in a hotel in same Accor group which has restored our faith and paid for by our agency as a treat ! So Accor and this hotel if you read this review it’s not just about how much money you can earn by cancellation of a booking but people experience of having to pay a lot of money to travel !! The upset of the experience was not fair on us . Shame on you I hope readers you will be very afraid of booking this hotel !!!!!!!!!
