A wonderful step back in time where hotels actually cared about their guests, definitely a good stay!! This place is wonderful. It is dated I admit but we had a nightmare of a stay at another hotel that was much more pricey. We were skeptical at first but the elevators worked, the pool, spa worked and was amazing to come back to at night. The beds were good no sags. Plenty of clean towels, and washcloths, the staff was absolutely great. I will be coming here any time I visit Rochester! They made our stressful trip actually relaxing and enjoyable. A huge thank you to the staff for all their hard work!

Disgusting The pool water had hair and dirt in it. The mattress had dirt on it. The hallway and room stunk terribly. I gagged when we first walked in our room. Glad I had spray!! Bathroom floor not cleaned. Shower curtain Rod about to fall off wall. The hallway carpets were disgustingly dirty. No screen on our windows. We will not be back. PS…The staff was very pleasant

Dead cockroaches and possible bed bugs I chose to stay at this hotel based on a previous stay that I had. The previous stay was alright. Had an issue with dirty bedding, asked for more from the gentleman at the desk, and while he did give me new bedding he was very irritated that I came down to ask for new bedding. After that it was OK. This time I stayed again while here for appointments at Mayo Clinic. It happened to be the same gentleman working that was there when I stayed the first time. We went up to the room and when I moved the bar of soap to wash my hands I found a dead cockroach just sitting on the tray with shampoo and conditioner. I took a picture and brought it down. The gentleman did move us rooms, but proceeded to tell me a story about a guy that tried to check in with his luggage crawling with roaches. Gross! He assured me he would let staff in the morning know as they "pride themselves on not having these issues, but when I talked with the lady working at the desk the next day she had no clue about it. She said she would let the manager know, not sure if that ever happened. The next room was OK, didn't have any have any dead bugs that we could see but there was hair on the walls in the bathroom. Whatever I'll deal with it. The shower squeals when you turn the water on (it did that in the room for my previous stay too). My sister that was staying with me woke up with spots on her arms and legs and they were itchy. She had no issues before staying at this property, which really seems like there is more of a bug problem in the building than what the gentleman was trying to say. I will definitely be staying somewhere else next time and I would not recommend this property to anyone!

Fine stay for the price This hotel is fine for a budget property. It was clean and neat. Towels were thin and pillows were lacking, but sheets felt nice and the bed was comfortable. Front desk staff was very friendly. Even though there was a bus load of kids there when we were, overnight was quiet. Overall a good stay.

Great staff, great hotel, great location The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The only issue I had with the hotel was the Wi-Fi was spotty in the rooms. This was easily handled by connecting to the ethernet that is in each room. So if you plan on staying at this hotel and need the internet, bring an ethernet cord with you so that you can have fast and stable internet. The pool was nice but I never got the chance to use it. There is a workout room and laundry (coin-op) in the hotel that makes things easy. With several fast food options and grocery store options nearby, it makes this hotel hard to beat. I would recommend this hotel if you are needing somewhere to stay in the Rochester, MN area that is not going to break the bank.
