I would definitely stay there again! Excellent service from the staff; convenient location; comfortable rooms. We got in late the first night but had no problem finding the property and were greeted warmly upon arrival. Check In was easy and fast. Each day there is a prepared-to-order grab and go breakfast, which was really nice!

It's ok, a little outdated, but good enough I've stayed here twice while visiting Sacramento State for work. Both visits were in the last 6 months. I was told that Larkspur Landing was one of the nicest affordable hotels on this side of town (yikes!) When I stayed last February my hotel room floor was incredibly sticky. I was only staying for one night, before giving a lecture at Sac State, so I wasn't terribly concerned. The refrigerator was old and quite LOUD. I was staying in a one bedroom, so I was able to close my bedroom door and sleep. The bed was comfortable enough. The breakfast at the hotel was weird, everything was packaged in plastic and purchased from Costco or some other big box store. I made a meal out of ice cold hard boiled eggs and a bagel. The floor in the dining area was disgusting, not only sticky but visibly dirty. Around 11am I *did* see a whole cleaning crew show up and assemble around the elevators, but I didn't wait around to see hat they did. I think this place, like so many others, is short staffed. This time around, I have a studio, so there's no door to shut out my loud old fridge. I had to unplug it while I slept so that I could get some rest. My hotel room floor is not sticky this time (!!!) though I brought slippers in preparation for a sticky floor, lol. My room smells faintly of weed, but I don't mind that smell so much... just surprised by the smell in a smoke free hotel. I discovered the Raley's just half a block away, so I am prepared to make my own breakfast this time. I am really bothered that there are no water fountains or filtered water in this hotel. They offer you a single plastic bottle at check in, but that's all. I swore off plastic bottles many years ago for sustainability issues, but I am really surprised that they don't provide filtered water in the fitness room! That's just basic hotel 101. Being an all "suite" hotel close to Sac State, I think this place is fine. It's not luxurious at all, the rooms definitely need to be renovated, but I feel relatively safe in the area and my room is mostly clean.

Lifetime experience-Unplugged toilet-moped floor-wiped cobwebs and paid to stay in this hotel This is the worst hotel we stayed in, the list is very long but I will write how the rooms are very dusty, there are cobwebs all over the windows, sticky floors, bathtub drainage issues, the toilet plugged and unprofessional the receptionist was after we asked why the room was not cleaned and why the toilet wasn't unplugged after we informed them in the morning that day. The receptionist's response was "I don't care" Also after that she she asked if I would love to unplug the toilet myself which of course I accepted cause nobody cared at all. This review isn't about getting some benefits from it; it's just an unpleasant experience I had never experienced in my 60 years. Maybe she just had a bad day or something else is going on I understand but that's not the way you're treating customer

Musty Came for once night during the week. Had to immediately switch rooms as the smell was repulsive (smelt like humidity, mold, and old, uncleaned musty carpet) and the air conditioner didn't work. Opened the window but was near the (noisy) entrance of the building. The second room was much better and quieter. The overall cleanliness of the facility was poor and unkempt, trash of wrappers and tissues were in the elevator. Plenty of parking in the lot, stores nearby. Staff was amicable and able to immediately help. Fridge, stove top available in the room. For the price, better off paying a bit more elsewhere.
