Concierge This is my second stay at this property. This property is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is amazing friendly and very efficient and accommodating. I look forward to seeing Simone and usha at the front desk. They are both extremely friendly and very accommodating. I feel like they are both an asset to this hotel. This hotel definitely lives up to the Marriott brand standard. I love just sitting out by the river and the sunset is amazing. I say this isn't my stay hotel.

Cancelled my reservation with 2 days notice! Terrible "hospitality" 2 months ago I booked a room for three nights on their website. I received an email confirmation of my reservation. My trip was to be in 2 days and TODAY I get a text and an email telling me that my reservation has been canceled. When I call to speak with somebody I'm told that they have been shut down for 16 months and they are not sure how I made the reservation. I inform them that I made it on their website. The person I spoke with was kind of nonchalant like oh well yeah we didn't know all these people had reservations and we just got this list so we're canceling everybody now. 2 days! I have a flight and I'm bringing a small child and now I have nowhere to stay. The person I spoke to offered no real apology, took no responsibility for their company's huge error, did nothing to offer to rectify the situation, when I asked about some kind of compensation he said there's nothing he could do for me, no discount for a future stay, nothing. Now for me to book another hotel at this point just two days away from my trip I will end up having to spend approximately $200 plus more for a late booking. But they say it's not their problem. I guess it was my problem that I made a reservation on a legitimate website that they couldn't manage to shut down while they're not open. I shudder to think what would have happened if my trip had actually been last week before they decided to start texting people that they're canceling their reservation and I showed up at 9:00 at night with a small child to a darkened and empty hotel with nowhere to stay in a city I am unfamiliar with. If this hotel can't handle basic customer service when they do something wrong then they don't deserve to be in the hospitality industry and I would not recommend giving them your money or business.

Beautiful Property -Area Not Safe Had a surprise birthday evening hosted by my SO. Unfortunately, my car was burglarized at adjacent lot. With the restaurant and hotel right next to it, the property could patrol or video monitor the adjoining lot. Ruined what could have been a lovely birthday celebration.

Service Not Great I have stayed at this hotel many times because of the location. I have regularly had problems with consistent service in housekeeping. Often the beds are not made or if you complain and they are done, they do not replenish the amenities like coffee or shampoo/conditioner. I like a lot of things about this hotel regarding location but not the service.

Staff is what makes this place shine Over the past couple years I’ve stayed 8 plus times at this Westin. It’s convenient and well situated along the river yet also right off the highway. While Starwood and Marriott have merged and I miss the old Starwood philosophies and attention to detail, this remains the place I prefer to stay in the area. The reason for that is simple - the staff. People at this property remember repeat guests. They’re helpful, welcoming, very friendly and kind. In a world which puts less and less value on simply being nice this stands out. My last visit I noted that housekeeping seemed to have declined a bit. It was little things - Not emptying trash, not replacing a toiletry item once used, and I definitely noticed that again. There are fewer amenities in the room. Gone seem to be the days of the complimentary cotton swabs and emery boards, and I was glad to have packed extra shampoo, since by day three the one in the bathroom was empty and not replaced. Those little things are annoyances, but when I’m considering calling a place excellent vs. very good that becomes part of my consideration. I do NOT opt for the ‘green’ stay, whereby you make your own bed and reuse towels. A $5 credit or extra marriott points mean nothing to me. Service on the other hand - especially good service, means a lot. I’ll return to the hotel again - its convenience and the staff make up for the property’s other shortcomings.
