Vacation Looking at the motel you might not want to stay there. It has no frills and no pool. However once you meet the staff everything changes. The room was outdated but clean and everything in working condition. The lady in charge of housekeeping Delisa Frazier was a true delight. Very helpful and caring. If you are looking for luxury this is not for you. But if you want everyday comfort this is good. Comfortable beds clean room and great staff!

Disgusting Should be shut down. Board of healthy should inspect. Rotten food in refrigerator, underwear and trash in drawer, smelled strongly of urine, black mold on shower curtain and in shower...lamps broken. Worst place I have ever stayed in.

absolutely disgusting made the mistake of booking online before reading all the reviews - the place was absolutely disgusting, uninhabitable. the desk clerk seemed like she was probably on something and was beyond abrasive, the room stunk of vomit, the sheets were filthy and the whole property was generally neglected - this place must be where people end up when everything else is booked but you’d be better off sleeping in your car

NASTY GHETTO HOTEL - DO NOT STAY HERE This was one of the nastiest most ghetto hotels I’ve ever set foot in - I stopped here because it was on the way back from the beach and I thought “I’ll try saving a couple of bucks, why not” so I asked to see a room and the woman working the desk was a total jerk about it which should have been a tip off right there but she showed me a room anyway which seemed clean - Then while checking in she basically accused me of being either on the run or on drugs because I had just walked in from the beach and was exhausted - finally after dealing with her nastiness I went up to the room and it was filthy and there were no pillowcases on the beds - It was so disgusting overall and the woman working the desk was so rude to me I thought “I don’t even care that I just paid to stay here - I’m leaving” and I went over to the Hilton to a much nicer room - I asked the clerks at the desk at the Hilton about the roadway hotel and they told me it was in the ghetto and you need to stay as far away as possible from there - I have no idea why that hotel has ANY decent reviews but you need to AVOID AVOID AVOID that hotel at all costs - I asked the people at the desk at the Hilton if it was a drug or a hooker hotel and they said “both, and everything else - you don’t wanna leave your car in the lot there either so just stay away”

Needs work but staff is great My reviews usually have this disclaimer. When I'm traveling on my own dime I don't pay a lot of money to spend a few hours a night in a hotel/motel. This hotel is between the town of Beaufort and the beaches. Roughly 8 miles each way. There is a convenience store and gas station right across the street and the room had a microwave and a small fridge and a coffee maker and was clean as a person should expect for this type of motel. After checking in the door to our room would not lock and totally needs to be replaced. A young man with longer hair (Dean or Jason) came and did his best to fix it to no avail. I had to fix the tv myself. it wasn't working correctly but that may have been a previous renter's fault. If it wasn't for the staff's attempts at trying to actually fix the problems this particular room would have garnered a big ZERO star because of the door. But that is not really the staff's problem. The owner needs to put some money into the place. This is certainly not the Hilton or the Hyatt so if you can't handle a road side motel this is not for you. So if you need the amenities of a hotel I suggest paying $150 more a night and getting a hotel in the city or rent a condo. I've stayed in everything from crack hotels to 5-star motel's all over the USA and Europe and this place is not a bad place and good for a cheap place to stay if you are on a budget. It is also centrally located in between the beaches and the city and right next to some very historical sites and "The Most Haunted Road in SC" aka Land's End Rd. There was one very funny and entertaining manager (I think) named Sabrina who had me and my elderly father entertained while we were sitting out front or in the office. She was a trip. As I said, this hotel would get a much worse rating if it wasn't for most of the staff trying to hold this place together. The office had coffee and some pastry type breakfast foods but the "free" breakfast is really not much. If you like a hardy breakfast you will want to bring some food or go out to eat. Choice Hotels, you need to invest some money in this property. It is great location and needs to be renovated. I found it decently clean for a motel of this type and never felt as if though there was any danger in the location.
