Nice Clean Room at a Great Price Check-in was smooth and quick. Friendly staff. We liked the solid floor covering in the room rather than carpet. The room was clean and smelled good. The bed was very comfortable. It's a smaller facility. Parking is kind of tight and they charge a fee to park in their parking lot.

DISGUSTING!! DO NOT STAY!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Our visit with Days Inn by Wyndham in San Antonio was less than impressive, so much that we cancelled our week with them and found a new hotel within an hour of being there. •1st- The location wasn’t the same as my confirmed booking. We pulled up and a man walked up to our truck asking rudely if he could help us. Apparently the hotel moved locations across the street because they sold they currently location to do something with a homeless program. No email with the change was sent, yet I had received emails multiple days in a row confirming our booking. •2nd- we pull into the parking lot across the street to the new location, and it’s so crowded it felt like surely someone would back into our truck while trying to pull out of their parking spot. •3rd- I walked into the office and it’s all clearly under construction. It’s covered in sheet rock dust and only has a counter and a cafeteria style chair sitting in the corner. We received no check in paperwork and were told parking would be $12 per day. I had called when booking on May 25, 2021 was told it would be $10 per day. I had also called to confirm no covid restrictions on the pool, which we now don’t have because they moved locations with NO notice sent out. •4th- Trying to remain positive and we go up to our room....... The King Suite, which I had called on May 25, 2021 to confirm they had a couch in the room- which they said YES. We open the door to find a bed, a desk/chair, two open faced cube shaped side tables, and larger open faced cubed shaped “dresser” that held a microwave and mini fridge with no drawers for clothes or anything. We start looking around the room and horror set in...... It was DISGUSTING!!!!!!! Within the first 15mins of being in our “clean and ready room” I had to ask housekeeping for a broom and dust pan because I could see hair and dirt on the floor. My son had kicked his shoes off in our truck during our 7HOUR drive to get there, so I had carried him up to the room barefoot. Within 15mins of being in there, his feet bottoms were BLACK. (In the picture uploaded I had already washed his feet once.) There was no closet rod to hang clothes, no dresser for clothes, no couch (which I called and confirmed) for our “king suite” and it was so dirty I couldn’t handle it. Hair in the room, dead bugs on the floor, bed and on the extra blankets and pillows they brought to our room that were “clean”. There was hair stuck to the door with some kind of nasty mush stuff (I don’t even want to know what it was). Finger prints on the blinds hanging above the AC. Finger/hand marks all over the door and walls. There were ants crawling around on the floor. Soft spots in the floor that you could feel sink under your feet when you walked on them. The door didn’t seal properly and there was no chain lock to keep my young children safely in the room. The bathroom door wouldn’t even close all the way. There was cracked/dried grout in the track for the closet door which we could barely open because it was clearly broken on its tracks. My husband went down to ask the manager (Joann) where the couch was, the closet rod, chain lock on the door, the dresser and more. Her response was “we are under renovation, we are still waiting on those things.” He asked for a roll away bed, which there website said was available on request, they didn’t have those either. I went and spoke to her and asked why we weren’t emailed and informed of all the errors/changes that would be taking place surrounding our visit. I told her I had called to confirm multiple things (pool, parking rates, couch..) on May 25th. Her response was “changes began on June 1st and because we booked through hotels.com that it was the 3rd parties responsibility to email us, not theirs.” I told her YET, I have received MULTIPLE emails from Days Inn directly reminding me about my upcoming stay at there “old” address with no information about any changes. Her response then was well we can just cancel your stay and refund you for your entire visit and you can go back home. I told her I didn’t drive SEVEN hours with 3 kids 5yrs and under to turn around and drive back home because they lied to us. At this point my husband was already looking for another hotel. **Thank the Lord we found one that was CLEAN and actually what they represented themselves to be. Best Western on Commerce was immaculate and perfect!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!** My husband went to the office to cancel and get our refund. The manager (Joann) told him it would ALL ($671.05) be refunded and show back up on the card in a few days. Once again she didn’t give any paperwork. We were in San Antonio from a Saturday7-10 to Friday 7-16. By Friday our FULL amount was still not back on the card. They refunded $525.11, so they stole $145.94 from us. My husband goes back up there and talks again to the same manager. She said they automatically charge for 1nights stay when you cancel, but a request had been put in for a full refund and it should be in our bank by the following Monday to Wednesday. My husband requested paperwork this time since she never gave us any and we left. We arrived there July 10th, canceled the same day and were told we would receive a FULL refund within a few days. We are currently sitting at July 29th and STILL haven’t received our $145.94 back on our card. Needless to say we are still fighting with them. They will NOT LIE AND STEAL from us! They should be reported the the health department and the better business bureau. I understand the manager isn’t to blame for all of this, but I sure don’t feel like she has done her part to resolve the issues or truly make anything better. This hotel was disgusting, a disgrace to what they advertised and I absolutely will NEVER recommend them or book with them EVER AGAIN!!! Enjoy the mass of picture from the filthy they called clean and ready!

DONT STAY. Absolute Harassment from hotel employees I arrived in town at the hotel at 7:30 am for a business trip. I waited outside the hotel for 4+ hours waiting for the room to be ready, and the female employee working here would come to my vehicle and ask almost every 30 minutes if we were staying here. When the room was ready, she immediately started following me and the persons I was sharing the room with all the way to the room, and kept harassing us with unnecessary questions. I had two friends I wanted to see while I was in town come over to the hotel room during this time, and she immediately started threatening to have us “kicked out” because she claimed I lied about the amount of people staying here. I was on a tight schedule, and she was non stop threatening to have me kicked out, so I went ahead and paid an extra $200 for another room to avoid being kicked out, all while the people I paid for another room for aren’t going to be staying in there. I might add I was wearing a “Black Lives Matter” shirt upon arrival, and I immediately noticed the look I was given, and that is when her attitude and treatment towards me changed. I’ve never had such a frustrating experience at a hotel, and all for the cardboard blanketed beds they have makes it NOT WORTH it at all. Do not stay here, they will take your money.

No frills, reasonable cost, close to everything If you are a Karen, you will not like this place. If you are budget conscious, not afraid of seeing people who don't all look like you, and want to be conveniently located to enjoy the San Antonio downtown area, this place is GREAT. It is reasonably clean, in good repair, has friendly and attentive staff. They fixed the toilet that wasn't flushing properly very quickly. They were helpful with every request (linens, coffee packs, directions). Could not have been more pleased. The bed was comfortable, even if it wasn't affixed to the wall and kept sliding when I wanted to be on the laptop in bed. We had plenty of hot water, and they kept us supplied with fresh towels, coffee packs for the coffee maker, a fridge and a microwave in the room. There was a safe, iron and full-size ironing board, too, but we didn't use those. The place isn't new and sparkling. It also isn't ridiculously priced, either - AND it is close to shopping, Riverwalk, and at the Alamo's freaking BACK DOOR. We were able to park our rental car and walk to most things we wanted to see and do. The one negative for me was the $13 bucks a day parking - but parking lots of other places was double that, so I got over it. I was also disappointed the pool wasn't open and they didn't have the continental breakfast, but COVID has pretty much allowed all hotels to discontinue those amenities under the "public health" banner. Since it saves them the expense, I don't expect those perks to return any time soon for any hotel, so I didn't count that as a negative. The price was right, and the location was superb. We were there for a week.
