Overcrowded and overrated I was driving cross country with two small dogs and decided to stay here. I was surprised by how crowded and noisy it was. It feels like Disney World, not a high end resort. The staff were not very friendly, and despite paying $150 a night for pets, it felt very pet unfriendly. I was accosted by a staffer in the morning while walking my dogs and told that I could not walk my dogs through a certain area between 8 - 8:30 due to wild life feeding, although it was only 7:30. He said he was “accustomed to people violating the rules” and wanted to make sure I obeyed. I was like “yeah sure we’re checking out soon and won’t be back”

Bed bugs, $19 parking and musty We are staying here now. It is awful. I have never, ever had bed bugs in a hotel until now! So gross! We reported to the front desk...while they did move us rooms, and "graciously" waived there absurd $19/day parking...just didn't seem like enough to have blood sucking bed bugs biting us all night. As for the "shuttle" to sea world, it is a small passenger van that can barely take a third of those waiting for it. We ended up just paying for Ubers which totally defeated the purpose of staying here. The hotel pool (or 3 pools they claim) is really one location with a small pool that has a barrier separating a small child's pool and a hot tub/spa, together would make maybe a regular sized pool, certainly nothing elaborate. Property is ok, and I can confirm the musty smell on most floors that others mentioned - not awful but there. I wish we would have stayed elsewhere!

Look Elsewhere for Hilton Standards This was my first and last stay at this Hilton property. The place requires updating to reach Motel 6 standards. Narrow hot hallways, closet sized rooms, noisy atmosphere, poorly designed parking lot and alleged "king size beds". I did not have a tape measure but when my shins and feet hang off the bed, it's not king size in my book. With so many choices in San Antonio it will be easy to do better. Look elsewhere.

Decent hotel, poor service - DO NOT hold an event here! Our rare disease nonprofit chose this hotel as an event venue for our first conference. We initially loved the open courtyard and proximity to Morgan’s Wonderland adaptive theme park. DON’T hold an event here. We brought them over $50K in revenue, but there were a host of issues: -The WiFi was abysmal in the whole place. Our event was to have complimentary WiFi, and this was not provided until we were halfway through the agenda. None of our devices were hardwired in as planned, leading to last minute conversion of files etc. -Bad communication from start to finish. There were numerous errors in our BEOs that were never corrected because we could not count on a response from this staff. Hotel (Elsie) called me in a panic about a panel session they “didn’t know about” when we had emailed previously about this specific session. Overall, no attention to detail causing it to be extremely stressful on our team to work with them. -We were given a $6,800 bill after a welcome reception that served fewer than 1/3 of our guests. Spent $25K on food overall which was lacking in quality and quantity. Again, severe lack of communication on the hotel’s part with our staff about quantities and pricing, and very little willingness from management to work with us on an agreeable resolution. The cheese tray attached was meant to serve 71 adults and 33 children, and alone cost us $1,800. Veggie tray was close to $1,100. To us, these looked like for a small house party, not the heavy hors d’oeuvre’s we had planned. Small desserts (petit fours, chocolate strawberries) came to $10.50 EACH. Absolutely insane prices, which we would have been fine paying IF there had been nearly enough food to serve our guests. Julie, Erik, Elsie, and Carlos have no desire to problem-solve with our team, and we were told essentially nothing can be done, “you’ll be charged today.” Many smaller complaints in our post conference survey about the front desk not being friendly/accommodating, not having roll-away beds they said they’d have (our group included a lot of disabled children), and of course the horrific WiFi. Overall our participants did not enjoy the location or the food and we would not work with any Hilton hotel again in planning a conference event.

Functional . Ok rooms but with terrible service. This hotel just wasnt for us. it felt far shabbier than the official photos and the service was not up to Hilton standards. If you just want a room with no frills then maybe its fine. The restaurant in particular had terrible food we had bad experiences with the servers. I am Gluten free intolerant and get quite sick if I eat gluten and the server seemed to first scoff at me when I asked if something was gluten free and then said yes even thoughI was pretty sure it wasnt. When I asked her to double check as it didnt seem right she rolled her eyes as though I was being difficult. She did come back ten minutes later and said after asking the chef it wasnt. On another occasion I asked another lady if we could sit in a booth (which was laid up) as the chairs were so uncomfortable. i was told booths are for people drinking alcohol only - it was 8am! I then politely enquired if I could have a chair from another table and was told NO, i then asked if i could use a cushion from the sofa nearby and again was told NO but in a very dismissive way. I felt the servers didnt think outside the box and didnt seem to have any hospitality graces at all. When I asked on reception for some recommendations for restaurants and things to do locally the person had no idea of anywhere. I wasnt being awkward and was asking everything politely and it just felt very frustrating. The rooms are quite large which was a plus, the wifi Ok but not great. but all in all a fairly lousy virtually zero "hospitality" experience.
